Nancy Pelosi and the AstroTurfers

Check out this post and photos by El Marco at LookingAtTheLeft regarding Nancy Pelosi’s recent visit to Denver’s Stout Street Clinic. The post explains the story behind an intriguing photo in yesterday’s Denver Post in which an Obama supporter was shown ripping up a protester’s sign. The sign had photos of Nancy Pelosi with the caption “Pants On Fire.”

  1. DRJ – That is a great post. I looked at it a few minutes before you posted it here. Astroturf, my Aunt Fanny!

  2. I, too, read this ealier. The left’s attempts to label those who oppose Barry as astroturfers is so transparently lame. I guess all that jetting around the world really has left the pols hopelessly out of touch with reality. My favorite part, as sad as it is, was the illegal day laborers drafted to hold the signs,
This clinic is adjacent to Denver’s day laborer pickup street, Park Avenue. Being fluent in Spanish, El Marco asked these guys “¿hablan ingles?” “casi nada” was the reply from our amigo on the left. I asked him if he could tell me what the signs said. “¿Quien sabe?” (who knows?) was all he said to me, with a big grin
But we are the ones on the payroll of “big” insurance. If so, where’s my check?

  3. I thought this video also captured the tone of the debate. I don’t think they get it yet.

  4. If that Pelosi sign got that kind of reaction from the libs, then maybe we need to make it a point to have at least some signs like that one at every protest our side does.

  5. Do you follow this guy? If not, you should. He’s got an excellent perspective on this whole wretched Obamacare debacle and accompanying thuggery.

Truth hurts and Palin stated it right.

Medicare and Medicaid was SPECIFICALLY set up to help those Kevorkian Care would exterminate.

But those were different times in a more generous nation where most people worked — not worked the system.

Hey, I hope your mom. Dad, and child is the first in line for our Brave New World … … Kevorkian Care … Gov.t must kill the people in order to save them. Sweet.

You call this Hope and Change? This is Hitler’s Germany circa 1933.

At least with an insurer, we have somewhere to complain. Who will help us when some lazy government employee decides it is my time to die?

    Or yours?

  8. I remember when it was patriotic to dissent.

Where are the supporters of Teh One™ now? They seem to be strangely silent on this issue.

Free speech only when we agree with our leaders, I guess, is the goal.

  9. I like the guy demanding “100% free health care for everyone.”

These people really think health care can be “free,” if only we show sufficient moral excellence and will. You’ve got to wonder if that guy has ever paid a bill in his life.
