  1. These are the people who Reagan warned us about. Remember his quote? The scariest words in the English language are:

“We’re from the government, and we’re here to help you.”

They know what is best for us, after all! Better than we do! Even if they don’t read the bills they want to pass. Even if they keep changing their campaign promises. And even when they don’t intend to live by the rules under which they want us to live.

They aren’t the proles, after all. They are the Few. We are the Many.

Who knew that this was the “change” in Hope and Change™.

  2. SHOCKA!
Who knew that a lying, pos Socialist would advocate Socialism?

  12. I’m reminded of the story of the two kids running for president. One promised typical stuff, the other promised IceCream… the second couldn’t tell who it was from, who it would be paid for or how it was going to be delivered. None-the-less, she won in a landslide.

53% of americans (little “a” on purpose) wanted IceCream… and here we are, Hope and Change™. Indeed.

When he’s talking about ending employer based care, that’s about increasing the people on the private health insurance market. Ending employer based care would be a good thing — people aren’t hit with the double whammy when they lose their jobs, they aren’t stuck with their employer’s choices, and they aren’t losing out by going elsewhere.

    imdw (017d51)

  14. Except, in case you haven’t been paying attention (what else would be new), that when employers dump their insurance plans, it will not put people into the private health insurance market, but into the public health-care plan that all employers will have to use unless they have an approved private plan.
Please try to keep up with the proposals that are on the table.

    AD - RtR/OS! (d9867d)

  15. See the link below for a 3 minute video which reveals even more than the posted one in this blog entry. This also shows a congresswoman from IL admitting in no uncertain terms the end game on the healthcare “reform” is to just put private insurers out of business. The clip also highlights the architect of the strategy and this guy flat out says the plan is premised on eliminating insurers.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ-6ebku3_E

This has been out a while. So it’s about time the one in this blog post has gotten wide spread exposure and is starting to go viral. But the link here is much more explicit in the exposure of the true end game.

Sorry but you have missed the fact that this was McCain’s health reform and Obama attacked it saying it was a tax increase.

I’m assuming you are in earnest and not lying so I expect you to acknowledge this.

    Mike K (addb13)

  17. “Except, in case you haven’t been paying attention (what else would be new), that when employers dump their insurance plans, it will not put people into the private health insurance market, but into the public health-care plan that all employers will have to use unless they have an approved private plan.”

The public option will be one of the choices available on the exchange. However, I believe there will be limitations on who can join it.

“Sorry but you have missed the fact that this was McCain’s health reform and Obama attacked it saying it was a tax increase.”

Mccain’s reform would indeed dump people on the private market, but without the consumer protections that are being put into the private market (and sometimes won by employers) and without the public option competing with the private insurers.

    imdw (67fa5a)

  18. You’re kidding, right?

    Dmac (e6d1c2)

  19. That was in response to Mike’s admonition.

    Dmac (e6d1c2)

  20. F*cking Dems have admitted that the public option is simply a first step, a trojan horse, to single-payer, yet watch imdw spin, lie, distort, and obfuscate.

    JD (5b6053)

  21. JD, between the faux simulus and this health care legislation, Obama is pissing away a lot of credibility with his brazen lying.

Democrats are going to find themselves early in 2010 wondering why they can’t get anything done and wondering how it happened. If they pay attention right now, they’ll know.

    SPQR (26be8b)

  22. Obama: Goal Is to Eliminate Private Health Insurance I’m so looking forward to the USPS driving FedEx into bankruptcy. Sheesh. Typical conservative fear mongering. And total rubbish. If conservatives truly embrace private enterprise and the capacity of the free market to meet a need in the markeplace to compete with a public option, they have nothing to fear.

    DCSCA (9d1bb3)

  23. Well, one word is correct in #23.

    Rubbish.

    And the cycle begins anew.

    Eric Blair (204104)

  24. DCSCA – Blow it out your butt. You tried that postal service analogy before and failed so miserably explaining it you went into hiding. Libs like you just don’t understand business and economics – stop trying to convince people you do. It’s painful to watch.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  25. If conservatives truly embrace private enterprise and the capacity of the free market to meet a need in the markeplace to compete with a public option, they have nothing to fear.

Unlike our cowardly dirty socialist president who’s skeered skeered so very tremble tremble skeered of teh school vouchers, no?

    happyfeet (42470c)

  26. But daley! He “made quite a few quid” selling newspapers announcing the breakup of the Beatles. Remember?

I’m not sure if that was before or after soccer at the American Embassy in Moscow, or his preteenager judgement of the leadership of Margaret Thatcher prior to her becoming Prime Minister. It was definitely before he chatted with Von Braun. But before he worked at CBS and smelled Rush Limbaugh’s armpits. I’m not sure when he worked with the CIA.

It’s tough to keep all that straight. But he knows things.

But you are right: same old story.

    Eric Blair (204104)

  27. #27- Rest easy. Coverage for condescension may very well be added to many private sector health plans to compete with the public option as President Obama reforms healthcare.

    DCSCA (9d1bb3)

  28. #25- The analogy is apt. Conservatives have nothing to fear if they truly believe in the free market and its capacity to compete and defeat a public option.

    DCSCA (9d1bb3)

  29. But before he worked at CBS and smelled Rush Limbaugh’s armpits. I’m not sure when he worked with the CIA.

It was at the same time he was working at NASA and Enron – a triple threat, obviously. How he managed to ever find the time to serve on the assassination hit squad in Latin America, one can only wonder – his awesomeness never fails to amaze.

  31. What an incredible steaming pile of cow dung International Man of Parody left here last night. Off his meds again. It does not even realize when it recycles the same old talking point that has been debunked, at length, the past several times it brought it up.

    JD (30371c)

  32. Off-topic, but see Jim Treacher’s take on “Obama Joker” and then read the comments at this LA Weekly post.

    carlitos (4216d6)

  33. Oops – link to Treacher.

Lemme guess, I would have already seen this if I did the Twitter, right?

    carlitos (4216d6)

  34. The Obama Joker is racist. Just like all of you.

    JD (30371c)

  35. JD: Oh, I don’t know. The concept of DCSCA calling anyone else “condescending” shows postmodernist irony or a supreme need for medication. He remains the King of Kondescension. And that is no “rubbish.” It is “pitch-perfect.” And that is how we should “let it land.”

But yes, “command-V” keystrokes are his best friend.

steve miler: sorry if I offended you. Hitting me with the “Fluffy Ditto of Doom” stings.

carlitos: Ace has the link to the Vanity Fair cartoon of last year with GWB as “The Joker.” The LA Weekly did one in 2004 as GWB as Dracula.

Sigh. It’s always different when someone picks on that dreamy captain of the football team, isn’t it? These people certainly act like they are in the midst of a major league crush. And it is going to get worse week by week, as more and more “stupid Americans” wake up to this race-baiting inexperienced Chicago hack with foot in mouth disease. Maybe we should all buy him more TelePrompters.

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  36. steve miller is no steve miler. Sorry about that.

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  37. Twitter mostly blows, Carlitos; that thing is primarily for the seriously ADD – affected. Already the backlash has been growing daily about all of the hype. No doubt useful for breaking stories…hearing about someone breaking wind in the grocery store, not so much.

    Dmac (e6d1c2)

  38. #23 — Comment by DCSCA — 8/3/2009 @ 10:21 pm

    DCSCA:

You have already demonstrated how shameful of a creature you are and how meaningless your comments. You managed to justify in your own mind the mocking of an American serviceman who served in war, was captured while carrying out a combat mission, and was subsequently tortured — injuries so severe he still has them decades later.

Yet you saw this a fitting subject to mock. Go back to your hole.

You are a tiny creature who stands on the graves and sacrifices of men and women far better than you. Rather than humble yourself in appreciation for protecting you and your family, you mock them with the very Freedom and Liberty that they provide.

Like the tiny creature who cannot stand those greater than himself, as it reveals his own ineptitudes that he cannot correct due to fear or lack of ability; he must satisfy himself with fantasies about how distinguished he is and mock those greater than himself, less the truth be revealed.

    Pons Asinorum (a0d8a8)

  39. PA, the International Man of Parody isn’t worth the time and effort it took you to remind him of his prior mean-spirited posts. You are correct in what you wrote, but he will just sneer at you, or repeat some tagline he likes.

Maybe the best approach is to wield the What-Fluffy-Sez Ditto of Doom™!

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  40. Dmac, your comment about Twitter and ADD is interesting. There is a book, titled “Distracted” (by Maggie Jackson, copyright 2008) that you might have a look at. It’s more than a little “over the top,” but it makes some good points about how we are “too connected” at present (like me right now?!).

Here is a Business Week interview with Ms. Jackson:

    http://feedroom.businessweek.com/?fr_story=ae4dbb951778d0efab8a20de484ab16c78dc8e11

So Twitter may not be a good idea….

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  41. The Democrats are so fearful of losing their offices that they want to sneak through their legislation via reconcilliation rather than an up or down vote. Lie, Cheat, steal, and unpatrioticly not pay your taxes. That is the modern Democrat party.

    PCD (02f8c1)

  42. Eric, I usually ask my friends why Facebook is so necessary to their lives, since anyone posting on their pages could always just send them an e – mail instead. They make a good case for aggregating everything in one place (including photos and the like), and that they’re too busy to answer every e – mail in a timely manner (for the record I’m on LinkedIn, but rarely use it). But I still think it’s just another layer of flotsam that’s taking the place of a medium that’s already well equipped to deal with the original message. And if you can’t answer posted messages on your Facebook page in a timely manner, perhaps the poster isn’t worth the time in the first place? Mies Van Der Rohe was right – less is more.

    Dmac (e6d1c2)

  43. The older I get, the more I see that less is genuinely more, Dmac!

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  44. DCSCA is your stereotypical liberal. Completely ignores facts and logic because they prove him/her wrong. Posts are nothing but drive by bomb throwing to incite. Somehow he/she gets their jollys doing this. Has no real interest in getting involved in intelligent debate.

DCSCA doesn’t deserve our attention or replys. I can’t and won’t engage in dishonest debate. DCSCA is irrelevent.

    eddieb (a0ee4c)

  45. True enough, eddieb. But the Tall Tales of Derring Do are pretty funny.

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  46. #45- You assume the current conservative mind set, particularly since January 20, has a viable position worthy of being accepted as an equal premise for ‘intelligent debate’ Of course, it doesn’t, having been thoroughly discredited and rejected in the last election cycle. The Party Of No, home to the silly ‘birther movement,’ and the like simply oppose and are intent to impede progress.

    DCSCA (9d1bb3)

  47. DCSCA, as Scott at Powerline says that’s the best you can do?

    What Fluffy said.

    SPQR (5811e9)

  48. What apparently is adjudged to impede progress is M’chelle Obama’s ass cause they done locked her in a closet or something.

    happyfeet (71f55e)

  49. That must be a walk in closet, feets!

    I condemn myself…

    BJTexs (a2cb5a)

  50. Nah. DCSCA’s bizarre “World of Commander McBragg” tall tales just make sure that no one—and I mean pretty much no one—takes his posts seriously.

Does anyone? Hands? If he is willing to make up silly stories about his glorious past—ones that exaggerate or even contradict other stories—why should anyone believe his partisan nonsense?

As for the “rejection” of non-Obama ideas, we’ll see. Maybe DCSCA will be correct. Maybe not. The polls are certainly not reflective of a shiny happy unicorn pooting rainbow skittles future of Hope and Change.

But DCSCA remains, in the words of one of my favorite bloggers, a tiresome prat. And a Walter Mitty style serial fabulist.

Laugh at him. And keep track of his stories. They really are pretty silly.

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  51. I wonder how many times IMP has typed that comment. He is kind of like Joe, in that he seems to enjoy copying and pasting the same drivel over and over and over and over and over and over.

    JD (138f58)

  52. DCSCA blurts…

You assume the current conservative mind set, particularly since January 20, has a viable position worthy of being accepted as an equal premise for ‘intelligent debate’ Of course, it doesn’t,

How very Stalin of you, dude. Are there beds reserved for us at the gulag mental institution?

    BJTexs (a2cb5a)

  53. Rats … gulag

    BJTexs (a2cb5a)

  54. DCSCA’s comment above is : the GOP lost the last election, and therefore doesn’t have an ‘intellectual’ enough position for be considered worthy of debate.

It’s just a stupid comment. Why even bother discussing anything with someone like that. Intellectualism = I won. Yeah, OK.

    Juan (bd4b30)

  55. the GOP lost the last election, and therefore doesn’t have an ‘intellectual’ enough position for be considered worthy of debate.

    Not ‘therefore’, because.

    spart (ebb300)

  56. spart, that’s a ridiculous analysis of DCSCA’s position. He was using the election loss to justify not considering the right’s point of view.

And bear in mind that the current version of Obama did not win the election. A fake candidate won who promised deficit cuts, fighting the wars we must win, having tremendous honesty and transparency, and tax cuts for 95% of Americans. Obama’s ideas, the ones we’ve seen put in effect, represent Obama’s deep dishonesty.

Obama knows his ideas can’t win an election. He either gets people thrown off the ballot, steals primaries, or lies ridiculously about his plans.

Nothing can change the fact that Obama could not shut up about deficit cutting and tax cutting before the election.

    Juan (bd4b30)

  57. Save your breath, Juan.

    JD (138f58)

  58. And spart, I don’t know you—but do you really, truly want to hang out with DCSCA? I mean, given his bizarre posts and the several times he has been placed in moderation for being a horse’s backside? Not to mention the serial fabulism?

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  59. #47 by DCSCA: hehehehe. Again, no facts or logic. Just more drive by drivel to incite the masses. You only confirm my original comment (#45) with this propaganda post. It is laughable. You are laughable. Ha ha! You’re not roping me into a useless dishonest debate. You’re a joke.

    eddieb (a0ee4c)

  60. Ha ha! You’re not roping me into a useless dishonest debate.

Off to pick up your freedom Works signs and practice your yellin?

    spart (ebb300)

  61. Oh, come on, spart. eddieb will be doing those things right after you get your next set of instructions from Axelrod and Raum the Overlord.

I think you are just about serious posting here at DCSCA. Do you have any tall tales about your globetrotting exploits and connections with the rich and famous’ body odor to share?

Get serious and quit being a troll.

    Eric Blair (0b61b2)

  62. #61: Hey spart, when someone like DCSCA posts comments that are basically Democrat talking points bumper stickers with nothing to substantiate the cute little quips (The Party of NO? – gimme a break), it’s not worth my time to specifically respond to that stuff.

Oh, by the way, I didn’t even know who Freedom Works was. I had to go to their website to figure it out. So now I get the little funny you made. How clever and original you are!

PA, the International Man of Parody isn’t worth the time and effort it took you to remind him of his prior mean-spirited posts.

Thank you Eric, but it was not a big deal — time, about 5 minutes; effort, about the same as swatting a fly.

Nevertheless, your point stands. In fact, I agree to a further extent; he is truly worthless — a man without honor. The perfect Obama supporter.
