Looks more like a homo going overboard trying to appear straight. It’s an over-compensation by Obama. A real straight person who is POTUS would make a point of containing himself right there.

Hot Air had a caption contest on this picture earlier today. Ace was all over it even earlier. Of course Drudge had it even earlier. I am not even sure it is Tapper’s photo, I think it is Reuters. And it was linked down below on the Andrew Sullivan post here earlier today.
But the best caption I saw was:
“Obama changes his stance on off shore drilling.”
Apparently the girl is 16, hence the reason Hot Air went with a different photo later in the day (not wanting to engaged in Letcherman joke comparsions).

A quick Google search revealed the age of consent in Brazil as 14. I was surprised to learn that most European countries it was 16, and 15 in France. Even more surprising was the age of consent in some US states was also just 16. Not condoning or condemning, just saying.

Your rationale for removing the photo is illogical.
If Obama is ogling an underage girl then that’s all the more reason to show the picture. It does not in amy way demean the girl. It reveals something about him.

I didn’t remove the link to Jake Tapper’s report and, as far as I know, he still has the photo posted so anyone who wants to see it can go there. IMO there’s a difference between posting a photo of Obama ogling a woman and Obama ogling a young girl. And you don’t need to see the photo to believe it’s wrong to ogle young girls.

I’m not concerned if someone comments under one name and then uses another weeks later. Occasional commenters may not remember what name they used in prior visits, but regular commenters or someone making several comments a day for days/weeks should use the same name. And IMO everyone should be prepared to acknowledge prior comments made under different names if it comes up.

Hmm, I don’t agree with this. I think conservatives with internet credentials are in constant fear. Fear of what someone posting on their website might say because they bought into the premise that they have to defend everything everyone says. Fear of having evidence turned against them because they posted the evidence.
Put the picture back. It doesn’t reflect on anyone except Obama. Don’t empower the perverts. Making decent folk “cede ground” is what they live for. They only sleep well at night when they think they have made their enemy cede ground.
That is everything you will ever need to know about the left. You can apply it to everything you see regarding the battle for the preservation of humanity.

Obama, due in part to the Iran/Honduras controversy, is such a dud and dope I don’t find anything about him humorous, captions of images of him included. However, I will say I prefer the photo of him in Rome to the photo snapped a few months showing his bowing before the king of Saudi Arabia.

I noticed some commentators in another thread at Patterico ended up sniping at one another by questioning the other person’s masculinity. But
in light of how socially liberal Western society has become over the decades, thanks in large part to the Democrat Party and Hollywood “progressivism,” and the continuous activism on the left about the need — the great need for! — same-sex marriage, etc, we should say we’re all becoming happily effeminized, or enuchized, if not homosexualized or bisexualized. Liberalism, after all, is touchy-feely, touchy-feely, bleeding heart, bleeding heart, and proud of it!

I saw the original photo and I thought it was funny, but captured moments in time can be easily misconstrued. So, I give the President the benefit of the doubt.
Nonetheless, if that had been me in the picture, my First Lady would have me sleeping on the couch. For a while.

What is so revealing about this is the MSM’s attempts to spin this as anything but a man checking out some chick, and that’s because Obama is not just a man, instead he has become an icon bordering on the divine, and if one is on a pedestal like that, it is not possible that he can been seen or recognized as the common man, who upon seeing a pleasantly rounded rear, look and enjoy.
If the media and the public had not been complicit in building the iconic myth of Obama and regularly feeding it, this would have just have been a chuckle of the day with no need to deny.
I think this in part might also speak to the vitriol on the right about the picture (not necessarily in these comments but certainly at Ace’s). Because the right so clearly sees him as a fallible man (and proving himself as such daily) and with feet of clay, there is a strident compulsion to make the other side realize it. Which of course they won’t because one’s gods are not that easily knocked over but those who are angered by this, are gonna try pretty hard and that’s where the increasing ugliness comes in.
I question why there is anger from some on the right in their reaction to it?
