Dan Collins Has a New Site

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 6:47 pm

It’s called Piece of Work in Progress. The best part is that you have to sign a content warning to access it.

Dan is good people and a good blogger. Make sure to check out his site.

  1. If that’s a link , it doesn’t work.

  2. Thanks. Fixed.

  3. Best wishes, Dan. I’ve always enjoyed your posts and I look forward to reading them at your website.

  4. Note for Mr Collins, whose work I have appreciated at Mr Goldstein’s house. Quick, before you get any deeper into it, get away from a blogspot account, and get a real site of your own.

Second, people without special accounts — like me — are unable to comment on your new site due to the settings you have used.

  5. I have the same problem, Dana, and I posted my congratulations here because my Blogger account login never seems to work.

  6. Thanks very much, folks. I’ve opened up the comments. Love to have you drop by from time to time.

  7. Yeah, I can’t seem to comment there either, and don’t have the patience to set up some kind of account. Maybe another day.

  8. Ditto on the commenting. My wordpress account works most places – maybe it’s the settings.

I saw an Allahpundit Twitter post about it.

I have Blogspot and I can do anything with it. But maybe that’s because I know how to edit the template. And maybe only as long as Mr. Google let’s me, but I remember somebody with another service having his site stolen from him too.

I meant who created the content warning. It is a feature of Blogspots that “visitors” can flag it as a porn or spam site. Then you need to negotiate with Google about it.

  13. Well, Dan’s work is nothing if not stimulating…..

  14. It’s Dan — I assume he created the content warning. Proudly!

  17. Dan is good people and a good blogger.

The former is a matter of opinion (ask his ex-girlfriend), but the latter is true. Exorcising one’s demons shouldn’t usually be done in public, but it can be funny and in Dan’s case, it is.

Besides getting away from temper tantrums of the former place will be a step in the right direction. Can’t wait to read the passive-aggressive missives toward Dan that so awed me when they were about Karl.

  18. timb,

You say that like it’s past tense.
