It’s Friday. Time for “The Obama Show”

This week’s episode is “Obama takes NBC News’ crew out for burgers.” Previous episodes include the girls’ first day of school, Michelle’s White House garden, the new swing set, Michelle & Barack’s date night, Obama takes co-worker Biden on a burger run, and this year’s most popular episode, a multi-part event featuring puppy Bo Obama. ***UPDATE: There’s more! $24,000 date night in New York. ***
Before the Sonia Sotomayor nomination, Obama’s approval rating index was at +1, its lowest point ever. After Sotomayor his approval bounced to +10, so this a good time to make nice with the media and get those weekend poll ratings up with a human interest story that helps Americans forget things like GM, Chrysler, trillion dollar debt, unemployment, North Korea nukes, and Iran.

I don’t quite see the point. Even if Obama’s poll numbers dropped down to Bushian levels, his media sycophants would never bother to report on it.

Compare that to President Bush’s pride in being unpopular – “spending his political capital”. Fiscal Conservatives are so bankrupt, the leaders of the Republicans are now Limbaugh and Gingrich – the only two people more unpopular than Bush.
President Obama is gunning for a $20 trillion debt by the time he exits office on Jan 21, 2017. The AAA rating of the federal government debt will have been toast for several years by then. The country will go Iceland/AIG shortly thereafter because we simply cannot pay $1 trillion a year in interest in addition to taxes to fund everything else. The numbers make no sense. The NEW thing is that debt and spending has been ramped up so severely, that now we know when the endgame will happen.
This American ideal of “nothing can go wrong; we are the Greatest” will have been proven wrong by then. The greatest generation is the greatest fail. You know, $20 trillion is a big fat elephant in the room. I absolutely hate President Bush. For years he claimed to be the leader of the fiscal conservative party. He failed so completely he enables others to say, “we tried Bush’s way, and look what happened.”

Obama’s “Approval Rating” is 58% on Rasmussen, 62% on Gallup.
I’m sure this small error will be corrected promptly.
