  1. she’s amazing how she doesn’t get in the way of the song and try and sell it or herself… she a lot just lets the song sell itself I think… it’s neat cause of how it’s suggestive of a humility that is a lot seamless with everything else people imagine they know about her I think

  2. Humility is a good choice of words, happyfeet. She has a lovely voice but that alone doesn’t explain her success. She has awkward moments and other times she can be incredibly composed. Ultimately, though, it’s the song that shines through and only a humble singer can make that happen.

  3. In my heart Susan you have already WON. I am waiting for the song “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”. Most people can not truly appreciate the songs she sings unless they have sang them themselves. The control she has over her voice and the ease in which she releases that sound is incrediable. And the only critics she will have are those who can’t sing or those who don’t have a clue. I will support you Susan with buying everything you release !!!

  4. She creates goosebumps and chills. The first note was uncertain but then she hits the emotional strength of the song and is amazing.

She is star quality and would be great on stage and in musicals. Thank God not pop music. It is a nice change from crap ,usic and she picks some very hard and beautiful songs

  5. Every once in a while a singer belts out a song(s) that resonates with the world. I’m reminded of this every time I listen to this lady. Enchanting is the word.

  7. She’s the only person I’ve ever heard of who made Simon Cowell feel ashamed of himself and sincerely apologize!

Don’t tell me there’s no such thing as miracles…

  8. Never heard of Susan Boyle till I watched the vidio above. Thanks DRJ, I did enjoy it, and WGC is on target with Don’t Cry for me …. I saw the final performance in SF before the company moved to LA. Unfortunately, the premium sound system had already been trucked South and the substitute system simply wasn’t up to the task. It wasn’t a bad system, just not good enough for the occasion. Otherwise it was one fine day: lunch at the Saint Francis, the afternoon on her daddy’s boat, an early dinner at Basta Pasta, then Evita. Funny how music, or in this case the mention of music, can evoke such poignant memories.

  9. I think Susan Boyle should win BGT 2009. This performance wasn’t as powerful as the first one but it was still amazing and she brought it. She deserves to be the winner despite her age.

  12. My life was very sad and dreary and worrisome before Susan Boyle but now I feel I’ve been bathed in Salvation and Hope and I live but to spend my days in loving contemplation of her Music.

  13. So you’ve got that goin’ for you, happyfeet, which is nice.

  14. She’d look a lot better (and younger) if she weren’t so typical of a high majority of people throughout the industrialized world, and now emerging countries like China too: Overweight. She does look sort of uncomfortably heavy, perhaps one factor that made her start off her tune sluggishly?

I read she’s a fan of Obama. I wonder if her opinion on global warming is similar to his? If so, she and like-minded people can help the cause of a Green Earth, starting right in their own home, by cutting back on their mass consumption of carbon-producing modern foodstuffs.

  15. Does that include pasta salad? Cause I’m kind of on a kick. Susan Boyle is magnetic to…

I’m not sure but I’m starting to think it’s the same people what like Enya.
