Al-Marri Pleads Guilty
Terrorist Ali al-Marri has pled guilty. He had been held as an enemy combatant, but then was dealt with by the criminal justice system.
Al-Marri admitted he trained in Al Qaeda camps and stayed in Al Qaeda safe houses in Pakistan between 1998 and 2001, where he learned how to handle weapons and how to communicate by phone and e-mail using a code.
He also admitted meeting and having regular contact with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, and with Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi, who allegedly helped the hijackers with money and Western-style clothing.
. . . .
The government said he met with Osama bin Laden in the summer of 2001 and was sent to the U.S. to help Al Qaeda operatives carry out post-Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Well, maybe he still can. He faces only 15 years in prison.
I feel safer already, knowing that our criminal justice system is the best in the world at preventing violent criminals from being released prematurely into our society. I’m also quite sure that the Chinese terrorist Ughars being released from GITMO into the US will turn out to be model citizens as well.
Dmac (1ddf7e) — 5/1/2009 @ 7:03 amI’m sure that he will be deported immediately, upon completion of his sentence. That’s what happens to alien felons, right?
carlitos (eeffbc) — 5/1/2009 @ 7:08 amOnly after he’s been treated in the emergency room of the local hospital, and also has a baby delivered as a result of conjugal visits.
Dmac (1ddf7e) — 5/1/2009 @ 7:33 amDon’t be silly, carlitos. The Constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment and delivery back into the hands of the people he’s betrayed is cruel.
No, he’ll be staying here, set up in a house in Encino, provided with a young starlet or seventy for cover (virgins highly doubtful, though) and looked after by the Witness Protection Program.
danebramage (700c93) — 5/1/2009 @ 7:40 amWill Obama or the Democrats take responsibility when this guy is eventually released?
MAS1916 (de1316) — 5/1/2009 @ 7:41 amOf course they will – after all, didn’t Clinton take responsibility for refusing to take OBL off the Yemeni’s hands when they offered him up to us on a silver platter?
Dmac (1ddf7e) — 5/1/2009 @ 8:03 amYou needn’t worry at all. Bu the time the misunderstood Mr al-Marri is released, why the war against the Islamists will be long over, President Obama having

Mr al-Marri, having paid his debt to society, will ten become a productive member of our culture, quite possibly serving in the federal Department of Christian Conversion to Islam.Dmac: I feel safer already, knowing that our criminal justice system is the best in the world at preventing violent criminals from being released prematurely into our society. Considering the bitterness and toxic hatred that informs every comment you make here, Dmac, I have no doubt you’re 100% out of your skull. And wrong. As usual.
Peter (e70d1c) — 5/1/2009 @ 8:59 amWho knows, maybe it was al-Marri flying over Manhattan last week. Barry has friends all over. And lots of toys to show off.

Department of Christian Conversion to Islam, aka,
Department of Infidel Beheadings.
That looks better.

AD - RtR/OS! (f774a9) — 5/1/2009 @ 4:18 pmI thought Al-Marri was one of those innocent shepherd doods or students the left keeps talking about. What happened?

They covered the walls of his cell with news photos of Michelle.

The Emperor7 (0c8c2c) — 5/1/2009 @ 5:24 pmNot if they’ve been engaging in sockpuppetry – for that offense, they should be drawn and quartered.
Dmac (1ddf7e) — 5/1/2009 @ 5:46 pmI would like to point out that I live in the city where this pile of crap was tried. The judge was NOT happy about the very last-minute plea, but allowed it never the less.
What really pisses me off is the following:
Bull. Fucking. Shit.
KSM fucking admitted, in open-fucking-court, his role in masterminding the 9/11 attacks. He isn’t an “alleged” anything.
He’s copped to having do it. That isn’t alleged, that called “admitted”.
Scott Jacobs (90ff96) — 5/1/2009 @ 6:21 pmPity that al-Marri wasn’t just executed as the foreign saboteur and spy that he was.
We used to do that years ago. But now we let them lose in the USA because they might be harmed in some way by their home country.
Oh well, maybe they will put him into the general population. That will put his life expectancy down the the reasonable level.
iconoclast (e235f2) — 5/2/2009 @ 7:15 pmHe will join the other heroes of the left like Ayers,Che,Hugo,Castro,Stalin, and Ward Churchhill.
Baxter Greene (8035ae) — 5/2/2009 @ 10:06 pmAfter his inevitable “Bush was Hitler” publicity tour through the MSM,Oprah, and articles in the NY Times, he will gladly complete his jihadist goal of blowing up as many “non-believers” as possible while the left is giving him the “hope and change” treatment.
