And it’s hilarious that NOW the left has problems with likening someone with Hitler. Sure didn’t bother you dopes much over the last several years.

Yes, and lying about it, mocking his opponent for saying something he would later say in his inaugural address, and otherwise obfuscating fact with a veil of hopeychangitude.

The Democrat Party forced banks to deal in bad mortgages for years, calling “racism” every attempt to correct this issue. The Democrat Party set up Fannie and Freddie and insulated those monstrosities from proper oversight. Fannie and Freddie fed huge sums of money to Dem coffers, with Obama number 3 on the list of recipients. Then the housing market collapsed, precipitating the banking collapse. And the Democrats blamed greedy bankers (when the Democrats set up the conditions for it to happen.)

Then, in a possibly unrelated incident, oil jumped from $30 a barrel to around $150 a barrel, causing gasoline prices to triple. I say possibly unrelated because there was no proper oversight in the banking/mutual market futures trading so the government cannot determine who was doing what in that market. I personally find it fishy this price spike happened when McCain got a lead in the polls and fell back off after Obama got elected.

Add to all that, the racist remarks of Obama’s 20-year pastor, the terrorist friend, the racist priest friend, all the ACORN garbage (which is easily attached to Obama’s shirt-strings) and you have someone of very poor repute fashioning a socialist monolithic state.

Speaking of which, and in light of the person whose birthday is honored today, do most people realize that no other single American has been given a similar celebration? Of course, there’s Christopher Columbus Day, but that’s comparatively low key and almost retrograde in how it’s not observed as widely by many people or workplaces, or treated with much or really any genuflection.

As for the original observances of George Washington’s and Abraham Lincoln’s birthdays, those two days have been squished together over the past several years and tossed into the pile of the rather generic (and somewhat faceless) “President’s Day.”
