The only diet soda I could stand used to be Fresca and now even that tastes like crap with the chemical aftertaste. I haven’t even seen the small green bottles of tasty coke since I left suburban Philly.

http://www.mexgrocer.com has a variety of mexican sodas though and they have Inca Kola from Peru which is licensed by Coke and was available in Ct. Anyway Inca whipped both Coke and Pepsi in Peru. It looks like Mountain Dew, but I hope it doesn’t taste like that bilge water.

All those colas are garbage and better used for cleaning things. I think I posted this healthy alternate soda recipe here some time back:

Dream Soda
Two ounces of almond milk
Two ounces of acai liquid
One teaspoon of organic clover honey
Six ounces of unflavored sparkling water (such as San Pellegrino)

Gently stir first three ingredients together and top with sparkling water.

Okay, Coke is much better than Pepsi. But Diet Pepsi is way better than Diet Coke could hope to be. Dunno why that is but there you have it.

Fortunately for purposes of this Obama related thing, I usually drink the cheapo off brands of both.

I tasted the Pepsi in Baby Bear’s glass, too sweet.

I sampled Papa Bear’s Coke, too harsh and acidic. Or maybe it was the two fingers of rum?

But the RC in Mama Bear’s ice-filled chest was just right.
