Dear non-adjectived Dana: Mountain Dew, that gift from the gods, contains both sugar and caffeine, two of the four main food groups -- the other two being salt and cholesterol -- and is thus an impostant part of a balanced diet.

I'm surprised your didn't know that!

Well thank you, JD. I, too, enjoy the Revisionist Dana but certainly hope that he soon accepts the cold blunt truth: if the best non-alcoholic drink Ἀθηνᾶ, the Goddess of Wisdom could come up with is - gag - Mt. Dew, then quite obviously she was no Goddess...and considering that just this week Mt. Dew's parent company's stock got neatly downgraded, well, Goddess my tush!

Revisionist? Revisionist!? Nay, 'tis true, every word of it.

And you know that it's true, because 'twas addressed to you, and, as I have told my darling bride many times, men never lie to women.

Baltimoron: Quotae have come to the cabinet, courtesy of William Jefferson Clinton, who penciled in that a woman would be Attorney General, and he had to go through three of them before one could get confirmed.

I don't know if Madeline Albright could be considered an Affirmative Action hire, but Condoleezza Rice certainly came up the ladder the hard, slow way.
