From ABC News:

Tonight the crowd chanted “Joe the Plumber, Joe the Plumber, Joe the Plumber” as the bald unliscenced plumber took the stage.

Here’s your screenshot:

I think they mean “as the bald unliscenced jerk of a ‘plumber’ with tax leins who is behind on chlid supportage took the stage.”

  3. ABC News: Tonight the crowd chanted “Joe the Plumber, Joe the Plumber, Joe the Plumber” as the bald unliscenced plumber took the stage… as reported by our excessively botoxed, unlicensed “journalists” who lack rudimentary spell-check computer skills and don’t look that good despite using taxpayer subsidized makeup artists.

    Perfect Sense (9d1b08)

  4. Soon, journalists WILL be licensed. After all, we need to know who the freedom of the press applies to. Can’t just have anybody with a blog calling themselves the press, now can we?

  5. Don’t you remember when ABC News referred to Joseph Wilson as “the wannabe lounge lizard clueless diplomat”? No? Me either.

    Nope:

Illegal immigrants = “undocumented Americans” in libspeak.

we will finally have the education reforms that will make sure no blogger is left behind.

That’s already been tried other places, you know. I haven’t been particularly impressed with the results.

Places like Soviet Russia. China. Viet Nam, Cambodia…you might ask some East Europeans my age or so whether they think the cult of the O!ne is such a good idea.

  15. Well, we have a new official Obama troll. Fortunately, reporters and writers of teleprompters text are not licensed.

The NY Times has a lead article this morning about “rising doubts about Palin.” They obviously didn’t read the NRO account of one of her appearances in Pennsylvania.

I guess it’s like Rashomon where different people see the same event differently.

I’m ready for the election to be over.

I was lucky enough to have travelled through Eastern Europe back before the Wall came down. It was the most depressing ever. Soviets were afraid to speak out, they lived in shit apartments that were falling apart before they were even finished and all the non-soviet countries the people were craving everything and anything western because the products made locally were for shit. You had to wait in line for food, if there was any and their idea of meat was what we called “mystery meat” that was mainly grisle, fat and bone chips. Yuck!

Later in the 80’s I went to China, talk about poor and depressing. Where do I begin, it SUCKED! SO for all those who think Marxism-socialism is the way to go please read my lips: It’s been tried again and again all over the world and it SUCKS! Free Enterprise and Capitalism are what’s best for any society period, end of freakin discussion. History proves it again and again and again. If you think marxist-socialism is so great go to Cuba! People are dying trying to get out of that hell hole.

Back before the wall came down they, the Socialist communists, had to build a freakin wall in the first place, not to keep people out, but rather to keep them from LEAVING! People risked their lives to get across no-man’s land in a bid for freedom, that’s how wonderful marxist-socialism was, people were shot trying to escape it!

  21. sigh for the hundredth time…

…JoePlumber works for a residential plumbing contractor, who is licensed; therefore Joe can plumb without a plumbing license. If JoePlumber does invest in his own contracting business, he will then have to be licensed. His current work for the licensed the residential contractor counts toward his own license.

Common knowledge for anyone who’s ever apprenticed to a tradesman.

I would think the LibNuts would know all this, given the…ah…plumbing they themselves have done into his DMV, tax, parenting, and other records and their supposed affinity for the “working man”.

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

Joe Wurzelbacher did show up to a Palin event Wednesday.
(CNN) — Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber, has become an integral part of John McCain’s presidential bid, but it appears the Arizona senator’s campaign and the now-famous Toledo plumber need to work on their communication skills.

McCain aides told CNN’s Dana Bash Wurzelbacher would appear with the Republican presidential candidate at his first campaign event in Defiance, Ohio. But in what was a slightly awkward moment for McCain, Wurzelbacher was nowhere to be seen when the Arizona senator called out for him.

Read Dana Bash’s first person account of the mix up on AC360 blog

A campaign aide later said Wurzelbacher had “decided not to come” and may join McCain later in the day.

But reached at his home by CNN’s Mary Snow, Wurzelbacher said it was “news to him” that he was supposed to be at the McCain rally. Wurzelbacher said nobody from the McCain campaign confirmed he was attending the event and called the incident a “miscommunication.”

Wurzelbacher also said he is headed to Philadelphia for a charity event unrelated to the campaign and has no plans to meet up with McCain today.

UPDATE: Contacted by CNN a second time, Wurzelbacher said the campaign only called him to confirm after the event in question already took place. He will now try to meet up with McCain later in the day.

Watch: ‘Joe’: McCain ‘a real American’

Wurzelbacher also said he had gotten an initial call about coming to the morning rally, “but no one called back to confirm,” and was “not happy” that McCain had called out his name and he wasn’t there
John McCain: Joe? Where are you Joe? Joe? We are waiting for you Joe. Joe, don’t do this to me! We are down in the polls, 4 days to the election, Joe. Hey Joe. Everyone is laughing at us Joe. Joe, Joe, Joe. JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOO!!!!!.

I was lucky enough to have travelled through Eastern Europe back before the Wall came down.

Wow, I got a severe cognitive disconnect when I read “lucky” and “travelled through Eastern Europe…”, before I could get to the second sentence.

Its the old “those who don’t know history” thing…coming out to bite us in the ass. Even though there are currently more people than ever about the globe, the opportunity for them to have lives of greater material wealth, health and safety has never been better: a circumstance that has arisen as the values of Western Civilization have spread.

Now, just because it hasn’t worked out that way for EVERY individual, we’re supposed to toss out thousands of years of progress and trust a Chicago South Side politics-as-usual-machine pol with a predilection for horribly failed politico-economic systemology that has killed hundreds of millions and brought untold misery to countless others, all in the last century~I mean, it ain’t even ancient history, fer cryin’ out loud?

What’s up with that? Just how stupid do you think I am?

Thus it is reduced to highlighting bold text in screeching tones, in the wan hope that by using this infantile discourse it will be heard above it’s high – pitched whining.

He’s got no traction outside the base and agreed with a questioner that that Obama would put an end to the nation of Israel in his first term.

  33. It is always amusing to see the left get their panties in a twist when some average person who lives a decent life and has not sought after fame and fortune has the unmitigated gall to captivate millions by nothing more than common sense. The nerve!

And how very easily those larger than life in their own smug eyes, are threatened.

I’m with you, man. The more he appears the better we will do because he summarized the Obama economic message better than McCain had done.

  38. #22. Again…YAA-AAAWN…Obama suffers from comparison, this time to someone not even on the Republican ticket:

#1. Serial tardiness at Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings.

#2. Never convened a hearing on the Foreign Relations subcommitted he chairs.

That saying Mike, was popular in the early 60’s too.
Another one that I can’t remember exactly was a play on
Churchill’s homage to the pilots of the RAF in the Battle of Britain.
It IIRC was penned to salute Congress’ chronic underfuding of the
military, pre VietNam. It finished with something like

“to do the impossible with nothing”

    Anyone remember it?

  44. Yeh, that’s so close.

Both ably represent the attitude of the average GI (and Jacksonians), and their general disdain for authoritarianism, and its’ stiffling effect on whatever it touches.

    Another Drew (7aa87e)

  45. Found it.

We have done so much, for so long, with so little,we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Apparently, it is often attributed to Mother Teresa…

Except, it was a motto in our small shop in a pre-Viet AF.
Just as hard to determine authorship as WW-2’s Kilroy drawing.
Soldiers have been making snide remarks about their jobs/leadership/etc for centuries.
If prostitution is the world’s oldest profession, soldiering is the second-oldest –
only the technology changes, not the attitudes.

    Another Drew (7aa87e)

  47. Don’t worry unliscensed (or is that unlicensed?) journalists, you will soon be part of the Obama Civilian Corps painting smiley faces of Obama in his new Administration. A couple of SCOTUS judges in Obama’s pocket and presto chango the new living Constitution no longer contains any First Amendment protections for the media. How quaint and patriarchal and antiquated such a notion as freedom of the press. We will enter the glorious days of post pressdom and into the Obamedia reality.

    eaglewingz08 (98291e)

  48. Q: What’s the difference between Joe the Plumber and Barack the Community Organizer?

A: Joe the Plumber can fix a toilet:

“But what we could do was begin to improve basic services at Altgeld–get the toilets fixed, the heaters working, the windows repaired.” Obama helped the residents wage a successful campaign to get the Chicago Housing Authority to promise to remove asbestos from the units; but, after an initial burst of activity, the city failed to keep its promise…[Obama’s organization] failed to stem the area’s overall decline”
