The Good News and Bad News
First, the bad news. The people who were supposed to move my site to a new server in the middle of the night, instead did so in the middle of the debate. So if you couldn’t access the site then, that’s why.
Why would you want a blog site up during a VP debate anyway?
The (allegedly) good news: this will (allegedly) fix the problems with the site that we have all been experiencing. Right now and for the next day or two, the site will automatically redirect to dev.patterico.com. But you should experience fewer problems, which will (allegedly) dwindle to nothing over the next 24-48 hours. And within 24-48 hours, the automatic redirect will (allegedly) stop as well.
We’ll see.

your faith in the IT trogs is touching……
did you buy them lots of Mountain Dew?
Comment by redc1c4 — 10/3/2008 @ 12:49 am
Better — he bought them a case of AMP, Mountain Dew on steriods.
Seriously, has anyone ever looked at the sugar content of that drink? Its a miracle of modern chemistry that they can get a whole 5 lb bag of sugar in one of those 20 ounce cans.

Has anybody else noticed how often Joe Biden cries in public?
Comment by Willmoore Kendall — 10/3/2008 @ 2:33 am
LGF’s silly poll has Palin winning debate by ten to one margin. That’s probably more apropos than the fever swamp polls showing Botox/hairplug Biden winning. Nice to that the powergluts seer thinks Palin is out of her league.
Had a diabetic friend who guzzled Jolt cola at work. Supposedly it has twice the sugar and twice the caffeine.

I almost passed out in the middle of a trial I was testifying in as a result of Jolt Cola. I was the expert witness and, instead of going to lunch, we had a session in the courthouse. They brought a sandwich and a drink, which I didn’t notice was Jolt Cola. I had tachycardia about two hours later and couldn’t make it home afterwards without stopping in a restaurant for an hour. My pulse was over 200 for three hours. Watch that stuff. It’s dangerous. Maybe I should have sued somebody.
The site seems to work fine at 5 AM. We’ll see how it is at noon.

Interesting timing. Are you sure your hosting company doesn’t have a problem with your politics?

Well, based upon my experience trying to reach various other sites before, during, and after the debate, you might as well have taken the site down for fixing. Yours wasn’t the only unreachable site last night.
Utter genius in the IT department!

I am wondering scene when do we think that the VP has to be “like a fourth string QB”; not quite sure what is going on . I am ashamed that a presidential candidate has chosen some one like governor Pelosi ,don’t get me wrong but,I really do not want hockey mom near the white house. Yes I think it was nice to have a woman on the GOP ticket, but I think that he would have been better off if he had chosen Condileesa Rice. that I could have bought but, but, the hockey mom at a time like this when the country is about to be financially destroyed by the bush admin is the worst thing that the senator could do…..
Steelworker first class (ret) Gerald DeZess Jr

Ok, who is doing the troll parody? fess up!
Comment by Darleen — 10/3/2008 @ 6:26 am
I don’t think “Jerry DeZessa” is a troll parody, he/she/it is probably a seminar poster from DK or DU.

9. Steelworker first class moby- pray tell us just what experience the affirmative action magic Negro has? How come he won’t talk about his only executive experience running the Annenberg Challenge Chicago school scam and how he blew through $150 million with no real success at improving the school? But I suppose he and his unrepentant Terrorist buddy Billy Ayers got some good ideas about indoctrinating kids into a marxist state of BS. How come the Obama-fellating media has no desire to really vet him but are obsessed with trying to bring Palin down and/or making her look stupid with not so artful editing jobs? Why are slow Joe Biden’s numerous gaffes ignored and his brother and son’s nefarious corrupt finagling to credit card industry not mentioned? Your hokcey mom canard is just so much more bullshit and there was no way you would have voted for McCain even with Condoleezza Rice on the ticket. As if you have a clue about Rice since you can’t even spell her friggin’ name. Keep up the Obama talking points and astroturfing grass roots crap though.
8. I think some actually do block various sites. Had one in past that always gave me a forbidden 404 for LGF, for example and was unable to access until I switched isps. In some cases more recently it has been a problem with Internet Explorer and one can switch over to Firefox.
5. Have the same problem at times even without sugary drinks and foods.
Here’s a healthy soda recipe:
Dream Soda- 2 ounces of almond milk
2 ounces of acai liquid
1 teaspoon of organic clover honey and
6 ounces of unflavored sparkling water (like San Pellegrino). Gently stir the first three ingredients together and top with the sparkling water.

I would suggest a troll parody competition but we could never sound as demented as they do.

One small disappointment I had with Sarah last night was my hope that she would bring up the Annenberg Challenge when the topic turned to education.
“Governor Pelosi”? They have to work on those seminars.
Server is slooooow by 6 AM

nah, it should be “mayor of wasilla” or Governor of wasilla. And you know she didn’t go to elite schools like Obama and Biden nor work across the aisle as Obambi does. How dare the baitch presume to be the equal of ex-guvs like Jimmuh Carter and Bill Clinton who ran important states, not some backwater hick place like Alaska. Funny, you see veep nominee Sarah on a motorcycle or hunting moose and Obama admitting himself that he looked like Urkel wearing his bike helmet. Which one is more macho? Who has the bigger cojones and more of them? Which one is owned by the crooked Daley machine? Whose associates are terrorists, racists and convicted felons?
