Another Day with a Good Link, Another Outage

Today’s SiteMeter:

Supposedly it’s going to get fixed soon. But I’m beginning to feel like the guy who tells his mistress every week that this is the day he’s going to leave his wife. (It’s an analogy, Mrs. P!) I can tell you it’s going to happen — but I’m not sure I believe it myself.

All I can say is I’m trying, and I’m told it will happen soon.

  2. 1) From your lamentation regarding all the work you put into, I think that Mrs. P must already feel like the site is your mistress, and

    2) What the hell happened on Friday (the 19th)? Are you cross indexing? Were there posts about Sullivan’s glutes on the 19th?

  3. Aplomb, the yellow is the number if unique visitors, and the yellow+orange is the number of times the page was downloaded.

Patterico, it’s an awesome blog. You aren’t going to lose any of us because of the technical problems. Sadly, new readers are not going have as many chances to find the blog, but they will get to you sooner or later. I wish I knew enough about this subject to give you technical advice.

Good luck, and don’t let it frustrate you too much. This is better than not having enough readers to bog down your equipment!

  7. Good thing the site went down, as I was forced to, once again, rip Apogee a new one, but somehow all those comments never came up.

    Lucky for you A. Gee.

  9. I think we’ll keep coming back for more, regardless of the technical interruptions involved. Those darn intertubes, and all. Paging Al Gore…
