Andrew Sullivan: A Huge, Stinking Pile of Course Not
Andrew Sullivan is full of course not.
The link goes to Dan Riehl — not because of some fastidiousness about linking Sullivan, but because Sullivan has removed his idiot post. In the post that Sullivan has taken down, Power Glutes claimed that McCain had “clearly” said “horseshit” . . . when (as Sullivan now acknowledges) McCain actually said “Course not.” If you want to read Sullivan’s original language, which he has now taken down like a coward, you have to read Riehl.
My God, this guy does nothing but write course not.
Clearly.

In this context, what would “course not” mean? Of course I’m not sure if we’re aligned with Spain or not? Of course Spain isn’t a NATO ally? On the other hand, “horse shit” does seem like a pretty reasonable, albeit impolitic response to the whole bit about Spain. A better response would be you have your gaffes and I have mine, at least I don’t turn my gaffes into policy positions just to avoid having to admit that they were gaffes.

I don’t see anything cowardly about it. And it’s actually a more honest procedure than most politicians ever follow.

If Sully can be blogging about the mysteries of Palin and daughter’s vaginas, what is wrong with questioning his own motives and disgusting preferences.
btw, I don’t think PP is that obscure. Maybe others get more traffic, but Patrick Frey does a yeoman’s job exposing much of what the LA Times ignores or obfuscates or just plain lies about outrageously. What’s your reason for being here?
