1. I think he’s being prepared to pull an Eagleton. But I think that will make Obama look even more desperate.

4. According to Bill Clinton on The View, Hillary didn’t want the #2 spot. If asked, Obama looks fickle and weak while Hillary looks noble and self-sacrificing.

   Sitting on a couch shmoozing the ladies of The View on Monday, Bill Clinton said Hillary didn’t want to be Barack Obama’s running mate, but that she would have taken the job if she was asked.

7. Biden is not going to “pull an Eagleton”. The campaign does not care about these gaffes, even the one where he told the guy in the wheelchair to stand up. It is too late for a change, and short of him dropping dead they are not even considering it. They knew what they were getting with him; there were plenty of us warning them.

8. daley, I guess it was the dresses they were all (including Whoopi) were wearing. Babs must’ve given the imperial order – dresses all, Bill’s coming to town. (…for a brief second I think I saw Clinton check out Hasselbeck’s legs).

    “Turmoil in the financial industry and growing pessimism about the economy have altered the shape of the presidential race, giving Democratic nominee Barack Obama the first clear lead of the general-election campaign… The survey also found that the strong initial public reaction to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain’s running mate, has cooled somewhat. Overall, her unfavorable rating has gone up by 10 points in the past two weeks, from 28 percent to 38 percent”

    38% negative? This is hard to believe, especially compared to Biden. Why, Hugh Hewitt says that Palin is more popular than air. I don’t trust the WaPo.

13. SNL will do a sketch on Biden’s Gaffs, McCain’s gaff’s and Obama’s gaff’s as soon as Palin’s 15 minutes are up.

    It’s funny, the complaints from this crowd weren’t coming in 10 years ago when SNL was mocking Bill Clinton.
