What isn’t the big deal:
That she used her private acct for some official business; or

that she used the personal account for business. I know that gov’t is different, but I have done the same, as has this site’s host. At some point, you are trying to get work done, most likely on your own personal time, and you use your personal email for whatever reason. No big deal.

As Patterico commented, I too have used my personal account for business for several reasons – attachment wouldn’t go through, work server is down, even convenience. I have also used SMS text. I really don’t see a big deal.

Carlitos, The yahoo account that was hacked appears to contain official govt. business emails, although it seems she uses a different yahoo account for most of her official government business!? (see) I know you can't conduct political business from government email accounts, but actually I'm not sure what the status of private emails on government accounts is? Being a technological dinosaur, I have no idea how easy/hard it is to access secure, government email accounts from a blackberry. But agreed, theft is theft. I read that the guy who hosts the IP masker the thief used keeps IP logs and the screen shots show an identifiable marker. In the supposed thief's confession he said he only used one IP mask, so I suspect he will be caught before long. p.s. the reason you found it incomprehensible was because it was a joke (a weak one admittedly)
