Update on the MoDo smear of Palin.

Interesting:
Palin allies are suing to halt the trooper probe.

Yeah they are claiming that this is a "McCarthyistic" inquisition.

It's amazing that "McCarthyistic" Democrats were able to file charges against Palin prior to her being named V.P. They must be psychics or something.

What's that you say? 3 of the 5 "McCarthyistic"'s were Republicans?

What a sham :(

About the book banning.

Gov Palin asked a 'what if' question.

OK I'll keep this simple.

If I go up to a teacher and ask him/her.
"what would happen if I missed the last test"

That doesn't mean I have missed it, would miss it, or had missed it. OK

What if I would ask a police officer if I would go 30 over the speed limit.

I have committed no crime. I will have not broken any law nor will I till I speed.

If I ask a baseball umpire what would happen if i pined tared my bat to much.

He would not throw me out for cheating would he. I could not or would not get in trouble would I. Asking a question is not committing a misdeed unless you really do subscribe to the Orwellian view of 1984 and thoughts and ideas are crimes and they should be punished. (no further action was taken by Gov Palin so the questions were just that questions of a what if nature)

Pretty lame reason to say she would have banned simply by asking a what if question.

Reminds me of the 'McCain is ignorant bout email and computers' This one really pissed me of, being disabled myself. McCain has severe injuries to his body and it is not that he wont learn to use computers he can't use a keyboard or mouse his hands do not function well that use of those is very hard if not impossible.

Wow like if wrote about Bob Dole "and he never learned to write with his right hand and is never seen using it"
Another war injury.

They think, on the left, that they attack a powerful faceless monster (the GOP,Palin,McCain etc) They, including news media, are making this personal for many Americans. Sure.... this will get you votes...good luck with that.

The librarian answers to the mayor and must obey her instructions.

I just feel sorry for you, friend. You have no idea what a gift you've been given. Really you're pitiful in your self created limitation. Wake up. You have more power than you know (and regardless of what you think, we're not conceding it to petty tyrants like you OR Sarah Palin.)

Read some history and appreciate all that you'
ve been given. Don't be an idiot.

Amusing that jar thinks that librarian's are such wonderful professionals. Around here, librarians worry more about making sure that the homeless have easy access to porn on the libraries computers, while parents have to keep their children out of the library to keep from being exposed to them. Our librarians are spending more effort on making sure that law enforcement can't access criminal suspects library records than making sure that children have access to any books.

Just remember that Roger Ebert sat around the north side of Chicago drunk for many years in places like O'Rourke's and from what I am told, was a complete ahole. He represents exactly what is wrong with the Suntimes-too many clowns like him and Roper, etc. that think exactly the same way all the while thinking that they are the smartest bunch in the town.
While I am sorry he has been ill, the passing of his gereation will come none too soon.

Peter, you keep right on ranting like that. No, the library doesn't belong to "the people", it belongs to the city that paid for it, and the mayor represents those people. The librarian answers to the mayor and must obey her instructions.

You think you're impressing somebody by telling us that "been vetted over many years by librarians and educators" and that "BTW librarians are educators". That is precisely the problem. Librarians and "educators" who have set themselves up as petty dictators, with the right to decide what books the city must buy, regardless of the wishes of that city's people. Next you'll tell us that teachers have the right to teach whatever they think appropriate, without interference by the principal or the school board that employs them and pays their wages. Well, librarians and teachers like that need to be fired pronto.

No, a mayor can't tell a journalist what stories to cover, but the newspaper owner can. And neither a journalist nor a librarian has a "sacred" task; when you talk like that about your former job you just make an ass of yourself. A librarian or a journalist does a job just like a computer programmer or a garbage collector; none of them have any role in government or in "DEMOCRACY". And the fact that you can talk like that proves how far the disease has spread.
