Three-Year-Old Killed by Illegal Who Should Have Been Deported Is Buried

Heartbreaking:

About 150 people packed the Fairmount Cemetery Chapel this morning to pay respects to 3-year-old Marten Kudlis, who died tragically last week while at an ice-cream store in Aurora.

“Oh, my God, Marten, this is the last thing I ever wanted to do with you,” shouted his father, Marat, as the tiny wooden casket was lowered into the ground. “I love you so much.”

Marten had gone with a 10-year-old friend and his mother to play at Lowry Park on Thursday evening. Then the group stopped at the Baskin-Robbins store at South Havana Street and East Mississippi Avenue for a treat.

A high-speed collision in the intersection sent a vehicle crashing into a transformer. A jagged piece of metal flew through the ice-cream shop, killing Marten.

Two women in one of the vehicles also died in the accident. The driver, Francis Hernandez, is believed to be an illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal record involving mostly traffic offenses. He has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide.

Note that illegal immigration isn’t even an issue in this presidential campaign. That’s because neither candidate plans to do a damned thing about it.

  1. “That’s because neither candidate plans to do a damned thing about it.”

    That is so true.
An illegal immigrant crashed into a car when my wife was at the wheel. For the rest of her life, whenever she heard squealing tires, she would tense up and grab my arm. The illegal immigrant was never found or charged with any crime. We get the bills, the crime and the fear. The illegal immigrants get all the freebies. The politicians get the votes. It’s not fair, it’s the “Culture of Corruption”.

  2. Wait, tyree, how did you know this person was an illegal immigrant if they were never found?

  3. Hey, our beloved amigos are “working hard, putting food on the table” or so says Jorge Bush, Juan McAmnesty and Osama/Obama.

Why to they say this? Because they are literally paid off by the Mexican govt. and by business interests who want a NEVER ENDING STREAM of cheap labor pouring into our country. Trouble is, it’s illegal, black market labor, plus culturally, it turns us into North Mexico.

But hey, free trade, open immigration for all!!

  4. Kaus vs. Coulter [Mark Krikorian]

Ann Coulter (scroll down to Sept. 10, 4:30 p.m. on the righthand column) disputes Mickey Kaus’s claim that a President McCain would be more likely to get an amnesty through Congress than a President Obama. She describes it as “the difference is between a 10% chance and a 9.99999% chance,” whereas I think Mickey is closer to the mark in noting that it’s more like a 50% vs. 20% chance. And Coulter proves Mickey’s case when she says:

So to believe that McCain is a bigger threat to America than Obama is, Kausfiles has to take the position that McCain will do what he says he won’t (sign an amnesty bill), and Obama won’t do what he says he will (withdraw from Iraq, start a disastrous ground war in Afghanistan and attack our allies).

That’s it precisely — McCain will do what he says he won’t and Obama won’t do what he says he will.

  5. Nels–
He spoke no English, and tossed his “drivers license” through the window of the car my wife was driving before getting away. The “drivers license” was a well made forgery with fictitious information on it.

  6. If this blog considers itself the media, get on the horn to the judges who kept letting this guy go and see if they feel any remorse. They’ll either take responsibility or they will pass the buck, either way their responses will be newsworthy.

  9. Our government officials are in the pocket of the Chamber of Commerce, the biggest lobby in Washington. The only recourse we have is as citizens, to burn up the phone lines to our representatives and let them know in no uncertain terms, they will not get our vote if they support amnesty or anything like it.

Geez, the fist thing I did this morning was come to this blog, and the next thing I did was spend 5 minutes with tears running down my face.

Now that I’ve taken care of a bunch of other stuff and I’m fully composed, I have a question. However, before my question a true statement: For a whole host of reasons, we would have less crime in America if no illegal aliens were here.

Here is the question: Do we have statistics that show whether or not illegal aliens commit crimes (other than the crime of entering and/or remaining here illegally ), or are involved in automobile accidents, at a greater rate than Americans and other legal residents?

    — Look at what you wrote, Latin Levi. Are you going to tell us you did that for any other reason than to be a total prick?

People — including my own wife — make fried burritos all the time, you know-nothing asshole!

    Icy Truth (d55d4c)

  14. #8, wrong again. Burritos are deep fried, covered with your choice of red or green chile, and served with onions and cilantro. It’s called a chimichanga, and can also serve as a basic vehicle for the addition of all sorts of fancy ingredients.

I’m no expert on Mexican food and experience varies, but it’s been so for over 40 years for me.

Yes, but it’s not relevant. They aren’t supposed to be here and anyone responsible for helping an illegal remain in the country is an accomplice to the crime. That would even be the case if the crime rate of illegal aliens was miniscule compared to the citizen population.

  17. J Curtis in #25 replying to my query about statistics comparing crime rates of lllegal alien compared to Americans and legal residents: “Yes, but it’s not relevant.          J, the attitude projected by your response is exactly the same as the attitude I get from any ultraliberal when I ask a question about Obama.
In any event, since you did answer “Yes,” do you know of a link to a web site with such statistics? If so, I would appreciate if you posted it here.
         Thanks.

  19. yo quiero taco bell

    lo siento mucho

that is some gawdawful crap (taco bell)…now carlos y pepe is great mexican restaurant, at least in Fort Lauderdale.

One has only to check out the archives here to get some sense of the problematic nature of illegal property and violence crimes. Even tony Palm Beach county has a plethora of illegal immigrant gangbangers drive by killing innocents. The Salvadorn illegal scumwads from ms-13 are particularly egregious evil-doers. Somehow I expect places like Texas and Arizona have it much worse.
I have to wonder how many Hondurans and Guatemalans locally are illegal. We won’t even talk about Mexicans. In any case, try googling crimes committed by illegals.

One in five prisoners are illegal aliens. I’m told that illegals make up far less than 20% of the US population. That’s the statistic that I’m aware of.

I’m sure the powers that be aren’t in a hurry to put together more detailed statistics because it would hurt the feelings of certain sensitive groups. I would like to know, for instance, do Mexican illegal aliens commit more first degree murders in the US each year than the non-hispanic white citizens of the US? The answer doesn’t seem obvious to me.

The thing is, it doesn’t MATTER what the homicide rate is… if it’s even just one, then that is one murder that could have, should have been prevented. it would have been prevented, had we not allowed that person to come here illegally in the first place.

  22. How would US crime statistics be impacted if one removed the violent crime committed in a few large urban cities? The Canuck said Canadian crime is lower. I have no clue what percentage of crimes minorities might commit in Montreal or Toronto. I understand O!bambi’s home town of Chicago has more violent deaths than our troops suffer in Iraq in the same time frames. So, if we subtracted crimes in places with big problems- Detroit, DC, LA, Philly, etc., what is the rate in the rest of the country?

If Michelle O is correct about the Anointed One being a big target for assassination, does America even consider that his replacement Joe Biden would perform adequately? We could question his judgement on foreign affairs since so far he has been wrong time and again.

    madmax333 (0c6cfc)

  23. Scott, I disagree. One is always one too many, sure, but a higher rate among illegals underscores why we have such laws in the first place.

  24. I have lived in San Diego area for 25 years. In that time I have been rear ended 12 times by illegal aliens. 3 Asian, 9 Mexican. Two of these were hit and runs. I chased both of them down. 😎 The first one was driving a car with CA plates but pretended that he spoke no english. When I told him that I was going to take the damages out of his hide by giving him a thorough ass whipping, he suddenly was fluent. He was Vietnamese. The second one was driving a car with Baja, CA plates. When I stopped him, he pulled a gun on me and then drove away. The cops never caught him.
The others all did enough damage to their cars that they couldn’t drive away. Two ran from the scene but were later captured. No charges were ever filed by the police. I was unable to find out whether any of them were deported.

I have made a habit of stopping by Home Depot stores to pickup day laborers. I pay better than market rate when I higher them. The only requirement is that they can show me a valid green card or a legitimate drivers license of state i.d. It is amazing how many times I have to drive away without any takers.

If I can so easily identify 20 to 40 illegals with this simple question, why is it that ICE and Border Patrol are not allowed to do similar stings?

No. Well, yes: my goal was to point out that Krazy Kagu was a moron. Is that the same thing?

“People — including my own wife — make fried burritos all the time, you know-nothing asshole!”

    – Icy Truth

Oooh, your wife fries “burritos”! Stop the presses!

Here’s some food for thought, Emeril: people deep-fry everything. People go to state fairs and deep-fry Snickers bars, for fucks sake. That doesn’t mean that Snickers bars are meant to be fried.

Ropelight is at least close to the right answer: there are deep-fried tortillas with stuff in them. And they’re called chimichangas, not burritos. And there’s a difference. Guess what it is? I’ll give you a clue: one’s deep-fried and the other isn’t.

And I’ve lived in New Mexico since I was a baby. I ate Burritos all the time – and they were baked, as all real burritos are. In yer face. I win, because I say so. Cry about it.
