The interview was prior to her selection by McCain. Why would she be addressing the other topics you whine about at that point when Maria’s major interest is her energy expertise.

I was not the one to link to it as an example of her ability to take questions from the press, and speak knowledgeably. So, your barking up the wrong tree there brudda.

yeah, she had an energy policy and experience implementing it before she ran for VP! Imagine that!

Sounds to me from that interview that all she has experience about is that ANWR has no mountains and is a good place to drill for oil and that the environmental impact would be negligible in her not so humble opinion.

- A consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation
- Taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years
- Served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge
- 8 years in the Illinois Senate
- 4 years in the U.S. Senate
- Sponsored 131 bills in the U.S. Senate
- Held assignments on the Senate Committees for Foreign Relations, Environment and Public Works, Veterans’ Affairs, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and European Affairs.
- Has made official government trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
- Authored two best selling books.

Here’s some other things. He was right about Iraq, right about the timetable, which Al Maliki supports as being in keeping with their wishes for when the American troops should leave, right about talking to Iran, right about going after AQ in Pakistan. All elements that the Bush administration has had to, with great chagrin, agree too as effective approaches towards those particular areas.

And one of my favorite…beat the most powerful democratic front-runner for President in a generation by running a measured, brilliant, effective campaign.

And before all the chickenhawk taunts start, both she and McCain will have children in Iraq during the campaign. They are probably both proud and worried about those kids. What’s the taunt now, that they’re really not in the service, it’s all a big faked video?
