Olbermann to Political Reporter Charles Babington — “Find a new line of work.”
[Posted by WLS]
Who looks like the complete moron in this situation? Watch the video of Olbermann taking issue with the non-sycophantic ANALYSIS of AP reporter Charles Babington’s first wire report on Obama’s speech:
I guess “ANALYSIS” must reflect Olbermann’s metro-man love of all things Obama. Otherwise, the offending press organ should be silenced.
For years Babington was a political reporter for the Washington Post — yep, he covered politics for the main newspaper in the Capitol of the United States. And Olbermann never heard of him before.
Now we have 3 stunning examples of the outright hostility of the Obama camp to any dissent — though you can hardly call Babington’s analysis dissent.
1. Soliciting the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation of an advocacy group that dares to link Obama in an ad to a guy he worked with in doling out about $100 million in foundation grand money.
2. Executing the equivalent of a “denial of service” attack on WGN radio in Chicago by sending out an email asking Obamatrons to flood WGN’s phone lines during the scheduled 2 hour interview of Stanley Kurtz about Obama’s connections to Ayers — after first having failed to convince the station’s management to not allow the interview to go forward.
3. Obama’s head cheerleader at BONBC calling for a Washington veteran and respected political reporter to find new work after failing to sufficiently praise the genius of the Obamessiah.
I wonder what the reaction will be by the Washington press corps on one of their own by the nit-witless wonder Keith O.
Who is hoping for that press secretary position?
Amphipolis (e6b868) — 8/29/2008 @ 4:48 pmThe Andrea “I feel and look like I could faint” Mitchell performance is equally disturbing.
Gabriel Sutherland (e4fb7b) — 8/29/2008 @ 5:03 pm#2 Gabriel Sutherland – Yes.
“It was a cry to arms. A call to arms for these delegates.”
When you have nothing, attack. Those leftists are sure lucky that SCOTUS protected their 2nd amendment rights, otherwise there’d be no arms to call to.
Apogee (366e8b) — 8/29/2008 @ 5:10 pmAs written, it seems like it must have been said in jest….at least of a sort. But Olberman’s expression leaves no doubt: he literally intends to cull the guy from the AP. For The One.
For the One.
Bel Aire (e59286) — 8/29/2008 @ 6:34 pmNow that disgraced liberal talk show host Bernie Ward has been sentenced for possession and distribution of child porn, the other talkhosts on his station — KGO in San Francisco, the highest-rated station in the Bay Area for at least the past three decades — have been given the OK to open up about him, and his behavior at the station.
Gene Burns said on tonight’s program that a few years back, Ward began acting more bizarrely than usual — he was confrontational, rude, and disdainful of fellow hosts and especially management. Some were revolted by him, but most were genuinely concerned. Burns said that KGO sent the obese Ward to a fat farm where he could broadcast live and lose weight because they thought that was the source of his stress. But weekend host Brian Copeland revealed a female KGO employee reported walking in on Ward at the station in the middle of…well, as George Costanza’s mother put it, “Treating his body like it was an amusement park.” That, it is now apparent, was just a symptom of a much worse disease.
For years, there have been little leaks from former girlfriends and workmates about Olbermann’s quirks and erratic behavior that are the cherry on top of his gargantuan ego. But lately things have begun spinning out of control in front of the scenes as well as behind them.
I ain’t a shrink, but in my rank amateur opinion, I think Keith is in REAL trouble. Maybe not in Bernie Ward trouble, but bad enough. We’ll see.

Seven specifics in one hour ?! Holy jeebus ! And he will pay for it all by reducing waste, raising taxes, and using the line-item veto.
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:13 pmGo here to calculate your tax cut under the Obama plan
details are here.
Obama will cut taxes for 95% of Americans
McCain will tax 80% of Americans more than Obama.
Obama will only increase taxes for the top 1% of incomes; and this isn’t really an increase: he’s simply going to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
(And by the way Obama isn’t a Muslim either.)
JAR (08f6d2) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:20 pmLetting tax cuts expire is a tax increase, JAR. Quit lying.
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:34 pmI gave you a link to the page. look at the graph.
JAR (08f6d2) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:41 pmJAR 12:30 PM # Go here to calculate your tax cut under the Obama plan
I did as you suggested. I’m a very long way from the top 1% of income earners. Here is the answer I received: “Your Obama Tax Cut is: You will probably not get an Obama Tax Cut“
Stu707 (6e4ad5) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:42 pmObama’s speech and his promises? Serious Enough for John Stewart to pointedly call attention to them in a comedy monologue. You could call it ridicule, if you weren’t terrified of letting on to the pomposity of promising to end poverty.
How will he do this? Let me guess. The first thing he’ll need to do is take more of my money (you know, to help his plan along)
Apogee (186a12) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:46 pmI have a plan to end poverty that is 100% fool-proof.
Another Drew (f615b7) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:58 pmAll I have to do is eliminate the human-race!
There, poverty ceases to exist.
So you’re near the top 5%.
JAR (08f6d2) — 8/30/2008 @ 12:59 pmCongratulations!
stu – OBaracky is going to reduce taxes for those that do not actually pay taxes.
JAR lies.
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:05 pmJAR – Taxes is a topic OBaracky tends to try to avoid. You should follow suit. His record is such that we should expect tax increases. I know mine will go up.
But, back to Olberlovespunk. Why does he hate the 1st Amendment?
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:08 pmJohn McCain wants to cut taxes for John Mccain.
Barack Obama is willing to raise taxes on himself.
That’s basically it.
And JD, you’re the one who’s lying, not me.
JAR (08f6d2) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:10 pmJD, JARhead is ready for the fitting of that new sportscoat now.
Another Drew (f615b7) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:20 pmJAR – Letting a tax cut expire results in a tax increase. Ergo, you lied, or are stoopid
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:45 pmJAR – OBaracky’s limited history does not suggest that taxes will go down. Talking and doing are not the same thing.
JD (5f0e11) — 8/30/2008 @ 1:47 pmQ: If either one of you become president, and let the Bush tax cuts lapse, there will be effectively tax increases on millions of Americans.
JAR (08f6d2) — 8/30/2008 @ 2:13 pmOBAMA: On wealthy Americans.
CLINTON: That’s right.
OBAMA: I’m not bashful about it.
CLINTON: Absolutely
OBAMA: I suspect a lot of this crowd–it looks like a pretty well-dressed crowd–potentially will pay a little bit more. I will pay a little bit more. But that investment will pay huge dividends over the long term, and the place where it will pay the biggest dividends is in Medicare and Medicaid. Because if we can get a healthier population, that is the only way over the long term that we can actually control that spending that is going to break the federal budget.
CLINTON: It’s just really important to underscore here that we will go back to the tax rates we had before George Bush became president. And my memory is, people did really well during that time period. And they will keep doing really well.
JAR, people did “really well” during a stock bubble that popped during the Clinton administration. A stock bubble that was largely taxed at the capital gains rate that was lower than the tax rates Obama wants to actually end up with.
However, Obama’s planned spending increases greatly exceed even the high tax rates he proposes.

Oh, I see…it’s all personal. McCain’s running for President only because he wants to give himself a tax cut. What a crock — not that it isn’t a typical Dem class warfare argument.
And if Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates Sr. and others don’t want a tax cut, they can overpay their tax without the insisting the IRS put a gun to everybody else’s heads. As President Bush said in his final State of the Union address:
