I don’t know how it happened, but over the years You Light Up My Life just lost its kitsch. Now it’s like a show tune. It’s sort of been replaced by the songs mentioned here. (Billy Don’t Be A Hero, Afternoon Delight.) I’d definitely add Hotel California to the flush list! And all of oldmusicman’s titles, too.

Not me pal, I haven’t been in Chicago since 1965, and somehow I just don’t think I’d fit into Bambi’s social circle.

However, there is something wicked or depraved hovering over Bambi’s left shoulder. You can just make it out on TV if you look close enough. At first it seems like a puff of smoke about to disipate into the air. It does, but leaves an acrid odor behind.
