steve miller, been wanting to ask you:

You're not the same Steve Miller who used to be a regular commenter on Larry Elder's radio show, are you?

Dear steve miller: that was eloquently put. Something to keep in mind---the self-absorption of some folks, versus an awareness of history and the world in general.

BO's problem is that he reads his own press releases. He should read McCain's press releases more---so that he can see how "the other side" views him.

I honestly think that BO has been in a cocoon his entire life, with very few people in the workplace or on campus telling him that any of his decisions were incorrect or invalid.

The natural response is to say that racists have dogged him and persecuted him. Maybe so. But I can promise you that doesn't happen on campus without serious repercussions.

But look at the way that he is trying to "triangulate," Clinton style. No awareness of media or public appearance. Lashing out at McCain for being rich won't wash well from a huge house. Yet as we know, the Obama's don't think of themselves as rich, Rezko notwithstanding. They were having trouble paying off their student loans, right?

We'll see what happens.

Eric, what they do say is "I'm worth it."

Vastly different emphasis.

It's all melodramatic, but I keep thinking of the end of "Saving Private Ryan." These heroic soldiers dying right and left to save this one kid. And as Tom Hanks' character is dying, he says the "save-ee" (Matt Damon):

"Be worth it."

So many of the entitled types, especially those who have been gifted with genuine advantages, don't "get" that point.

It was a good article. However, if I'm not mistaken, Baldilocks is not a republican and has noted this error in other profiles about her.

5. I went to college with a thousand Barack Obamas and you summed them up perfectly. Ivy league progressives - a comical lot all of them.

#5

I have known too many students and graduates like BO. They reek of not believing in anything but their own sense of entitlement.

It's all becoming much too clear. The story just grows and grows.

#9 perhaps the lack of junk food, particularly sugar, corn syrup and other sweeteners in their diets?

One might also wonder why Kenyans are such great long distance runners. How many times have we seen them win it all? Even running barefoot.

Hard to keep some of those east African countries straight, but I'm still waiting for some of the local moonbats to move to that workers' paradise of Zimbabwe. Boy did Mugabe feck up the former Rhodesia. Looks like Kenya isn't so fine politically either.

Maybe Obama can get his $1/month half brother a job at this school. Kind of an African Annenburg project meets Chicago patronage.
