Video: Woman’s Family Killed (Allegedly) by Illegal Alien Gang Member Criminal Speaks Out

Filed under: Deport the Criminals First,General,Immigration — Patterico @ 6:43 am

The post immediately below is about Israel’s inexplicable appeasement of a child-killing terrorist. This post is about a similar issue: our country’s appeasement of the factions who oppose deporting anyone — even an illegal alien gang member criminal who (allegedly) ended up taking the lives of this woman’s husband and two sons.

Sanctuary city policies have consequences. It’s not easy, but you might as well directly face the consequences by watching this heart-rending video.

Deport the Criminals First.

  1. I absolutely agree with your “Deport the criminals first” proposal.

But at the same time I must note that there’s a significant distinction between that policy and the one many call for, which is to have local police essentially demand proof of citizenship of every witness they question in investigating any case at all, arresting and handing over to the ICE any illegal immigrants they discover. That would result, as a practical matter, to several consequences: 1) cops not interviewing some witnesses (even in murder cases) because of the associated paperwork and administrative hassles and (2) illegal immigrants who are witnesses to serious crimes being even MORE reluctant to help catch the violent offenders because ANY contact with law enforcement, even to provide assistance in solving a crime, would result in their deportation. I think the end result would be large “no-go” areas, as they have in France in the Muslim communities, where police and the inhabitants so despise each other that they become little lawless enclaves. Very dangerous. If that happens, the horror story will be that we weren’t able to catch the murderer the first time he killed because no witnesses would come forward and identify him.

So yes, deport the criminals first. But let’s not impose rigid mandatory requirements on local cops to enforce the immigration laws on every person with whom they come in contact, which frankly would hinder them in their main, day-to-day job, keeping the peace in local communities.

And how DARE we subject those illegal aliens to the fear of being deported…

  3. First, if a person is here illegally and kills a person, it should be a Federal crime punishable by death only. No plea bargains, and no bail.

  4. A 7/20/08 S.F. Chronicle story on the triple-murder case, here. And a 7/22/08 update (the murders were on June 22nd). These are the two most-commented-on stories, according to the paper’s website. BTW, that paper has or had a sleazy comments policy.

  5. Don’t worry. this will probably have little more than a temporary effect on the progg-fascists running San Francisco. They’ll take a little heat in the short term, knowing that ultimately it’s for the greater good.

The father worked four blocks from my place. Didn’t know him but imeediately recognized his photo as I sometimes went into the store where he was mgr. Incredibly sad and unnecessary.

If anything good comes out of this it will be that Mayor Gruesome isn’t likely to be our next gov. That’s no comfort to the Bologna family but should be provide some to the rest of California’s families outside the Bay Area.

I wasn’t aware that “many” were calling for such a policy. I’m certainly unaware of any credible, well-known opponent of illegal immigration who advocates such a policy.

However, to the extent that anyone might advocate such a policy, I would disagree with it, and agree with PatHMV on that issue.

There is, however, no excuse for San Francisco’s policy.

I agree. Until a person who is not a US citizen, and is in the US illegally (note precise language), AND detonates either a nuclear weapon, OR transmits a disease that kills only the first born child of US citizens, will US immigration laws be enforced. But only maybe.

  8. Or if they screw up and attack homosexuals. That may cause problems for the left, although we have seen that liberals don’t care if jews are attacked.

  9. PatHMV raises a straw man to hide behind. I am aware of no one even suggesting that the police bother witnesses. Nor bystanders. Nor random people on the street. Pat creates a caricature of illegal immigration opponents, then uses his imaginary villain to argue against any realistic attempt to control the border.

Sanctuary cities should be denied all federal grants for national security and law enforcement. Illegal aliens who commit crimes should be deported. After that we can worry about the others.

  10. One must accept that this situation with US immigration, and the policies that created them, will continue to be politically acceptable until the unacceptable happens, and even then things won’t change. The US is now in a Lewis Carroll, “Wonderland” and, to paraphrase the Cheshire Cat; “We can’t get out of where we are from where we’re at”.

  11. BTW, Ramos’ defense attorneys, Robert Amparan, has asked for a court-imposed gag order about his client’s case, saying news coverage was damaging his client’s right to a fair trial.

“False information is being placed out there, his rights are being violated – in terms of the disclosure of alleged juvenile records,” said Amparan.

It doesn’t matter what is true or false anymore, only what can be gotten away with. I don’t know who I consider more responsible for this crime, Ramos, Newsom, or Ted Kennedy and the ACLU.

    No, Ken. That is wrong!

Does he want the victims’ survivor gagged or the media? Good luck with that.

  14. Senator Obama defended illegal aliens.

“When communities are terrorized by ICE immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing, when people are detained without access to legal counsel, when all that is happening, the system just isn’t working, and we need to change it.” — Barack Obama

The judge can always change the venue to somewhere else like Sacramento or San Diego if a fair trial can not be found in San Francisco.

  16. 15, not good enough. Try change of Venue to Fullerton.

  17. This site might want to take it to the next level and actually suggest that people do something. Gavin Newsom isn’t going to read this thread, his supporters aren’t going to read it, and it’s going to have no impact on his career.

However, going to his public appearances and asking him questions about this and then uploading his response to Youtube would have an impact. The same goes for any other known politician or pundit.

BHO is especially vulnerable since he’s rarely been asked real questions. If someone calls him on this he’s probably not going to be so glib. Video of his response would get hundreds of thousands or millions of views.

  19. How many Americans are harmed each year by illegal immigrants? More than the soldiers harmed in Iraq each year. And while we hear the left cry how we are wasting blood and human treasure in Iraq, we never hear them cry how we are wasting blood and human treasure in this nation with our obscene rules on illegal immigration.

I think the wife/mother of these dead Americans need a good attorney and she should sue Newsom, his city and the feds for not taking this criminal off the street. Maybe when the wrongful death laws suits start flying each time an innocent American is killed or harmed by an illegal that should have never been here in the first place, the powers that be will start listening.

Last night I heard that dimwit, Francisco Hernandez, brother of John McCain’s Mexican advisor, Juan Hernandez, say that we need to look to the U.S. because MS-13 was started in LA and we all bear the blame for that.

Sorry, if you are in this nation illegally, you need to go back where you came from (be it Mexico, China or Ireland) and come here legally. Show respect for our laws, and we will show respect to you.

  21. This Just In: The last illegal immigrant juvenile offender who had been in a $7,000-a-month group home as part of San Francisco’s now-abandoned effort to shield young immigrants from deportation has bolted, authorities said Tuesday.

  22. The old story that if you enforce immigration laws, other illegals will be afraid to come forward & report crimes is nothing but a red herring. I investigated crimes for over 30 years. I never once saw an illegal alien witness deported. If they refuse to testify of otherwise cooperate, it isn’t because they fear deportation. It is because they fear the criminals & their gang friends of the criminals. The person most likely to be a victim of a violent act by an illegal alien is another illegal alien.

  23. My grandfather, Albert Burns, was murdered in Spanish Fork Utah by an illegal (Gabriel Hernandez). Hernandez had an extensive criminal record. A company building public schools hired the scumbag and Hernandez, after bailing out, was not picked up by ICE and fled back to Mexico the next day. Shame on our politicians, shame on our law enforcement, and shame on our communities for not ridding our country of these slime.

  24. K,

Too bad our government tried to punish Dog the Bounty Hunter for going into Mexico to capture convicted felon, Andrew Luster. It put a chill on Bounty Hunters going into Mexico to grab the Thugs who come to the US Illegally, commit crimes, and run back to Mexico for protection.
