Jesse Jackson Said the N-Word Too

He didn’t just say he wanted to cut Obama’s nuts off. He apparently also said Obama was “telling n—–s how to behave.”

This, from a guy who said: “I might add that we’re really going to begin to fight to prohibit that word in public usage as hate language.”

Heh.

  1. Senility, maybe? In front of a live mic and crew? At FNC no less. Jesse, it’s past your bedtime.

  2. Nope. The “N” word is perfectly permissible among African-Americans. The descendants of slave-owners can’t use it…even if you aren’t the descendent of slave-owners and just look like you might be, the word is hate speech. It’s one of those Marcusian “power differential” arguments that make me bilious.

I think that it is a horrid word, regardless, but that is the viewpoint I have heard repeatedly.

  3. Someone needs to make a hip-hop bed… put Jesse’s words to tha beat.

  4. But Obama is the offspring of either slave owners (on his mother’s side) or slave SELLERS (on his father’s side), so does he get to use the word given that his skin color is a few shades lighter than my own?

    Drumwaster (5ccf59)

  5. Hey, Drumwater – Obama did not use the word; Jackson did.

    V (7ba985)

  6. That’s right V – Obama’s not authentic. He can’t use the word.

    daleyrocks (d9ec17)

  7. Can you tell me where I asserted that he did? I was merely asking whether Obama could claim to be “African-American” and not be able to share the authentic “slave” experience that is the root and sustenance of the victimhood racket being played by Je$$e Jack$on and Al “Tawana Brawley” $harpton.

And since he is many generations closer to being a slave owner than any of the ones who claim to be descendants of American slaves, would he get to use the word oh-so-euphemistically called “the N-word”?

I loathe euphemisms, so let’s just call a shovel an African-American, shall we?

Je$$e the Race Pimp said “nigger”. (Being afraid to use a word gives a great deal of power to that word.) He was a race-baiting, lying, cheating, thieving, hypocritical extortionist no better than La Cosa Nostra wannabes (all with the middle name of “the”, e.g., Mickey the Mouse, Smokey the Bear, etc.), and if people weren’t so f*cking afraid of “offending” someone because of the color of his skin, we’d have thrown Je$$e’s ass off the island long ago.

But does his using the word “nigger” somehow make him more of an asshole, or less of an asshole? And if so, why?

Excuse me, let me rephrase: does his getting caught using the word “nigger” somehow make him more of an asshole, or less of an asshole?

Cue the “But Je$$e’s allowed to use the word nigger because he’s black” racist nonsense in 3… 2… 1…

  8. It’s karaoke time … Rick Springfield now and Jesse’s Girl. Give it up, won’t you, for Obama!

    Jesse is a friend,
    yeah, I know he’s been
    a good friend of mine
    But lately something’s changed
    that ain’t hard to define

    Jesse’s got himself a past
    I gotta take my time
He’s just cursing me out sometimes
    Screwing my political bit,
    I’m gonna blow it, sh-t

    Yeah ‘n he’s scolding so
    SO many people
    late at night
You know, I’m pissed I’m stuck with Jesse’s past,
I wish that I could trash Jesse’s past
Where can I find a solution like that?

I play along with the charade,
    there doesn’t seem to be
    a reason to change

You know, I feel so dirty
    when they start talking hope
    I wanna tell em, you’re a dope
but the point is probably moot
‘Cos their leg just shivers when I speak
    I’m a half-whatever freak

    I just know it

And I’m lookin’ in the mirror all the time,
lovin’ what I see in me
    I’ve been funny,
I’ve been cool with the lines

    Ain’t that the way
politics is s’ posed to be?
You, you gotta vote for ME

I plan to trash Jesse’s past
My bus is moving oh so fast

Where can I find a solution like that?

  9. fox was willing to go public with the nutcutting, but for some reason wanted to keep this most recent disclosure under wraps. when bill o’reilly was asked how it got out anyway, according to an l.a. times blog, he replied “some weasel leaked it on the internet.” how come ferrets get all this cute, cuddly cred but weasels endure constant disrespect? they’re the same damn thing!

  10. Let me Explain his actions,Obama Needs to set the Black People straight in America. They Dont Work, they dont try to Work they mooch off of White Women and Slander the Black Women, The Black Women have bad attitudes and all you see is Blacks in jail because they live like Pure Ape shit. Thas right Jesse Jackson is in the wrong for telling Obama to stop telling These monkeys how to live. Thats right Monkeys. Now God Knows not all African Americans are bad. Col Powell and Condelzza Rice are good Examples. I dont like Obama but i stand by Obama and respect him for telling Americans how they should live Properly. Jesse Jackson your the Nigger who loves the niggers the way they are in jail, Doped up, Drug Dealers and Slackers.

  12. The question I guess is who should we punish: the person who tells an ugly truth or the person who tries to obscure it. Black people have some huge friggin problems and nobody to blame at this point but themselves. There hasn’t been an “authentic slave experience” for generations, or a slave owning experience for that matter.

The reality is that if Jackson ( and Sharpton ) were successful in their bid to elevate black people, they’d be out of a job and out of the spotlight ( like most Dems ). These guys benefit from the perpetuation of the problem.

    Bob (15ff1e)

  13. The stupid thing about Americans is that we try to eradicate and dumb-down reality. Nigger is a word. Get over it! The n-word is totally moronic for PC folks. If Jesse was a real man he would say in vane that the word nigger should disappear from public usage. It’s not going to disappear. Black people and rap music have guaranteed it. It is harmless in itself. It is a racist that can make it dangerous. It is funny how people would even let others say that a “word” can’t be spoken in public. They assume a position of God. What morons! I nver use the word is question, but if I do, if you have a problem, it is just that, YOUR problem. I ahve a multiracial marriage. You have to be a moron to reduce words to the first letter. It is hypocritical when you you say it all on cable freely and can’t say something on a public station owned by the same company. Stick your PC jargon up you you know where! Call me a ginzo, greaseball, kraut, cheese-eating surrender monkey with a a mix of gook and slope in my kid. America, you disappoint me.

  15. I could never understand why a half black and half white is always a black? Why not white? I say let’s elect a white Obama to the White House.

    Peter (644825)

  16. One thing I can say for sure, Obama aint no nigger. He is a recent African migrant to America. He does not belong to the slave generation. If anything, his ancestors sold slaves to the white man. This is why the typical African American hates him. Just like they hate all those Africans in America who dont sit down and wait for the government. Absentee fathers and lay about fools with no agenda who think someone owes them something. The real blacks prospering in America are not the typical African Americans. They are the African’s in America. These are folks from countries like South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, zimbabawe etc. They are the blacks who are making it big in America and you know why? It’s because they know where they are coming from and know they cant go back there as failures. They know the poverty and leadership failure that is common in Africa so when they come to America and see things working, they are grateful and want to give it their best. They know the value of good government and have experienced poverty and hopelessness. They come to America with only one purpose in mind, to succeed. So they dont have time to mess up and grow fat. They are responsible and determined to make a mark. They are the ones driving the private sector and they are not afraid to work. Obama belongs to this generation and like any other recent migrant he will be persecuted by the AA for just daring to achieve in a short while what they have not in 200 years. Obama is black but certainly not a nigger.

  17. What would have happened if it was uttered by a white person?…There is a country called Nigeria…what do you call people from there?…hmmmm Double standard…you bet. Racist, sure. Priceless…OK

    Paul, Miami Florida (60ddc2)

  18. “the typical African American hates him” (urkel) ???? wtf- so THAT’s why blacks prefer O!bama over Juan McCain by a 20 to 1 margin? Yeah, right.

We all know about the double standards. You can live in the white world, like an OJ. But if you get in deep shit, your black brothers will do a jury nullification for you. Black is so beautiful and that’s why black dudes with big bucks like sports stars often opt for Swedish blonde types? That’s why rock stars go for Whoopi Goldberg types? oops, I mean Halle Beery “blacks” or super models.
Your daddy dearest can be a huge asshole and black and your mom white or vice versa and you’ll praise the daddy that abandoned you and take the supportive parent for granted or worse.

Jesse Jackson and Sharpton have public faces. America and Bill O’Reilly give them a pass on bad behavior. Jesse can knock up an assistant and that’s fine for a preacher and the other preacher Big Al can perpetutate the Tawana Brawley lie, get a judgement against him and then just ignore it forever while getting nice paying gigs on the tube. The other big asshole preacher Wright, grows up middle class, is whiter looking than many whites and can condemn the “racist” whitey for developing Aids to kill blacks and feather his own nest to the tune of millions. If you are a celeb, of any color, you get your pass on most any bad behavior. Yeah, dingleberry Imus lost his TV job for a time, made out like a bandit financially and is back. Still, no one calls out the Reverends. Hymietown is ok for Jesse, white ni**ers is ok for use by ex-Grand Kleagle Bobby Byrd. How is all this solving the alleged animosity between the races which O!bama will surely heal or putting fresh fruit on the table, getting us out of Iraq with alacrity so the Mideast can see with empathize with their poverty? And without a doubt, once the US destroys all those evil nukes, the rest of the world will see how big is was of us and follow suit. And like Pelosi and O!Bama say, we need those high gas prices to reduce American old comsumption so India, Africa and China can catch up through unfettered growth and be equal with us.

  19. Barrack Obama is successful and for many like him, race has not been a serious hindrance, just a minor hurdle. Today he is a shining beacon for all African-Americans.

The difference between a successful and a fallen community is behavior and thinking. Success can only come from CHANGE by the fallen community, the kind of change that Jesse Jackson opposes or talks down. My father always said, pride comes before a fall. Black pride has failed but Jesse has found his political niche.

It is sad that some African-Americans would rather spit on Obama than help him succeed. It is sad that they would rather invoke their pride than recognize the need for real change in their behavior and thinking. It is sad that African-Americans would rather blame their woes on every other individual or community, rather than themselves.

I’m neither white nor black. I know that success for any individual, regardless of race, comes from first observing, learning and emulating the successful, without bias. Who are the African-Americans emulating? Who are their role models? It is time for African-Americans to observe other communities, assimilate, learn and CHANGE, to embrace this opportunity to step in the limelight and do the right things (even though it may take another generation to succeed, if the parenting is correct).

I write because I care. I wish the African-American community all success.

  20. It seams its ok for Jesse Jackson to to say the “N” word and apologize for saying it.Al Sharpton said Forgive him and forget it.He didn’t say that when Don Imus said what he said.He helped Don Imus loose his job.I think they shoukd treat Jesse the same way they did Don.if they don’t want to do that, then they should treat Don the way they treated Jesse.Forgive him and forget it. O I am sorry I forgot Don Imus isn’t black.A White American man can’t call them niggers, but amother can.Something is wrong with this picture.

  23. It’s funny how words can impact people. Reading the thread above, the racialist (notice I didn’t write “racist”) language is disturbing. Of course it was intended to shock, and to illustrate a point. But for good or for ill, we live in a world where that kind of language can literally cause a person to lose a job, or even in some cases face legal issues.

Thus it is vexing when a person like Jackson states that they wish a particular word to vanish from our cultural lexicon, and then uses it themselves. Typical, but vexing.

And the worst part is that the language in the thread above is viewed by “victicrats” as proof of racism.

  24. WASHINGTON – Democrat Barack Obama raised $52 million last month for his presidential campaign, more than twice as much as Republican rival John McCain in a significant boost to his financial cache for the fall contest.Where is WLS? I want him to comment on this post. I read a post from him where he was predicting that Obama could be having problems with his decision not to take public funding. He was making a point that Obama must have over estimated his money raising abilities. That his base may not be as enthusiastic about supporting his campaign as they did during the primaries. WLS was basing his analysis on the fact that the Obama campaign was delaying to release their June financial detail. He was reading that to mean they were having problems raisning and were afraid to admit people were not giving as befor. I was telling him it was too early to say that obama was having problems with money just because he was delaying to release it. I told him it was dangerous to underestimate Barack Obama. You never know what they have up their sleeves. I was right. They have just released their june income and it is more than double McCain’s. This with all the talk about Obama’s flip flopping habits and all the rest. WLS. WLS….WLS…..Where are you?……..

Not using the language would also serve as “proof” for those interested in seeing the continued proliferation of the problem, rather than the solution. it would also mean that certain words have been made “illegal” by unilateral edict of someone who claims to be offended by its use, but who then go out and use the same word over and over again.

They are alleging thoughtcrime if one group uses it, but “issa black thang, and you crackas wooden unnerstan” if another group uses it. Anyone who advances that argument (that certain groups should be treated differently – allowed to do and say things that other ethnicities don’t – because of their skin color) is the real racist. Period. Full stop.

  28. How will we ever get EQUAL JUSTICE, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, when we continue to practice DOUBLE STANDARDS? If there are any values, logic, left in America: (1) the so-called Rev. Jesse Jackson has outed himself for the last time & he should vanish from the public scene forever. Any decent human being should be troubled if they behaved like Jackson (cut off his nuts, use of the word nigger [and who know what else he said, due to the misreporting of this incident by FOX & O’Reilly] & impregnating affair with a staff memeber half his age), but Jackson CLAIMS to be a REVEREND! The mendacity is suffocating. (2) FOX & O’Reilly CLAIMING ‘We report, you decide’, yet reporting this incident by half (censoring & omitting parts, violating the doctrine of completeness) is equally hypocritical, choking & damaging. O’Reilly is a phoney, a shameless self promoter, always making himself the issue, placing himself front & center, as opposed to the facts of a story, while he is laughing all the way to the bank. Instead of doing journalism 101 here, he was hiding under his desk. Watch how he & FOX try to walk & talk this one back.

I am a black man, and you are correct.

In the criminally overrated Nobel Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison’s infamous 1998 essay (in The New Yorker magazine, BTW) in which she stated Bill Clinton is the “first black President,” she wrote that she made him an honorary African-American because he displayed many “tropes of blackness,” such as being raised in poverty, playing the saxophone, loving fast food, and having a voracious sexual appetite (I am NOT making that up). Upon reading it, I burned a stream-of-consciousness essay of my own and posted it on Free Republic (sadly, it’s been deleted from the server) pointing out that she’s already admitting defeat for the race if that’s what means “black man” to her. In addition, I wrote that because of negative attitudes like hers and the eternal-victim industry pioneered by Jesse Jackson and furthered by Al Sharpton, American-born blacks have refused to do what immigrants from European, Asian, Latin, and African/Afro-Caribbean lands have successfully done — assimilate.

The new breed of Hispanic immigrants are making the same mistakes American-born blacks have; they are acting as if assimilation is somehow a rejection of their heritage, as if nobody knows the difference between me as a black man and a white man because I wear pants that don’t fall halfway down my butt and don’t spread my seed without concern of consequences.

Presuming that this is not some grand plan to give Obama a “Sistah Souljah Moment”, if Jesse Jackson is complaining about Obama “telling n—–s how to behave,” he’s only got himself and his ilk to blame. Somebody needs to say it, and it’s clear that he — for whatever reason — doesn’t want to.

Unfortunately, Obama, who sat in Rev. Wright’s Church of Blame Whitey First for over two decades, has no greater credibility than Jesse.

When was the last time you heard of Ann Coulter extorting money from corporations for allegedly not hiring enough whites? Say, the Los Angeles Lakers. Or BET. Or the NAACP.

Oh, wait, that’s because she didn’t.

Well, how about the time Ann got impregnated by a subordinate employee at her non-profit organization, whereupon she paid him tens of thousands of dollars (of TAX-EXEMPT CHARITABLE DONATIONS) to keep his mouth shut?

Wait, that wasn’t her, either? Well what about the time she called New York “Hymietown”? That wasn’t her, either, huh?

I guess you are just making shit up, huh?

  32. I think Jesse Jackson is a silly man. It seems every once in awhile, an African American will raise his head up to attack another African American.

To elect the first African American in a country that was built on the backs of African Americans, would be the greatest event to occur in this nation. Why would this silly man call him that awful, disgusting name. We talk about other races being racially divisive…Wow!

  35. Here we go again. Blacks use the word, but we (whites) are supposed to? Bullcrap. I use the word Nigger to describe behavior – and as long as MANY Blacks continue to exhibit “nigger” behavior – then the word stands. Behavioro – how many times have you pulled up to a stopsign – a beautiful day – quiet, peaceful- and some “nigger” is blasting his stereo forcing you to listen to his hiphop crap. It’s disrespectful, it’s arrogant to think I want to listen to it – but he doesn’t care – He”s/She’s a nigger. You see many black woman – their tits and ass hanging out of their clothes forcing you to look at more black skin than you ever wanted to see. Those woman are niggers. The blacks who follow the teachings of MLK and other leaders – are NOT niggers. Sure, guess there are white niggers, but we have other words for that trash. Behavior is what is described with the word nigger, it often reflects back to race, but isn’t necessarily.

  36. Drum, do you think you can rid the world of that word “African American”?

One person at a time. What, you no longer agree with me? What do we call “people of color” who are neither from Africa, nor American? Was Obama’s father African-American? No, of course, not, he is merely African.

Maybe we’ll get it together someday when it is more important to put politicians and corporate criminals under the microscope instead of movie stars; and stop making issues of nonissues and nonissues of important issues. Until then, I guess the “n-word” issue, aka nigger, can hog up the focus of our attention.

What does nigger mean? What race should be allowed to say it? When are they allowed to say it? How does it affect someone of mixed race? Should the word be buried? Should those who buried it be allowed to dig it up? What are the consequenses of saying it? Who gets fired for saying it? Who has to appologize for saying it and what is the appropriate appology? Do all white people who say nigger have to go to Sharpton to beg forgiveness? Can white South Africans say it if they move to US and call themselves African-Americans?

Even blacks who agree on almost everything, and will vote 98% for Obama, can’t seem to agree on what to do with a word.
