1. May he rest in peace. I still crack up over his baseball vs. footballl shtick.

   BTW Patterico, if some Cocksucker shows up to Shit on Carlin’s memory the same way he tried to Fuck Russert’s, it will really Piss me off. I hope everybody jumps down the Cunt’s throat or at least directs the Motherfucker to another site to look at some Tits instead.

2. To paraphrase Justice Stewart…I can’t describe one (a GREAT comedian), but I know when I see one.

   This is a great loss to any thinking American. To this day, I recall a major college classroom discussion (argument!) over his seven dirty words and the FCC and SCOTUS. It was probably my favorite single 90 minutes I spent in any class I ever attended.

   Thank you, Hippy Dippy Weatherman. My personal forecast for today: gloom.

6. RIP, George. You earned it.

   One of my most enlightening days in Jr. High School was discussing Carlin’s 7 Dirty words, the legal ramifications, and the meaning to society. The Libs in class just wanted to swear without punishment. They couldn’t see anything else, and they still don’t.

9. Someone should read the 7 dirty words at his memorial.

   Seriously. If you’ve ever seen the film of John Cleese at the memorial for his fellow Python, Graham Chapman, you can see how cathartic introducing humor into such a service can be.

   I’m sure that George himself would probably say something like, “Don’t anyone cry at my service; FUCK THAT! Treat me like it’s Weekend At Bernie’s and let’s have some fun.”
