Harvey Korman Dies
I always enjoyed him and Tim Conway on the “Carol Burnett Show” as a kid. He’ll be missed.

He will be missed.
Half the fun of “The Carol Burnett Show” was how far Korman and Conway could go into a skit before Carol’s off-the-wall hilarious characters cracked them up.

or mostly how Tim would do stuff to crack Harvey up. There were so many times when Tim would do something off script that would crack Harvey up so much that he’d just laugh.

Free entertainment at it’s best. Their send up of “Gone with the Wind” was hilarious. Thanks Harvey and the rest of the cast of the Carol Burnett show.

He was the star in Blazing Saddles. NSFW (especially for employees of Methodists
).

While he is on everyone’s minds, do yourselves a favor and watch a few of the old Carol Burnett skits on YouTube. Especially some of the outtakes, if you can find them. I spent a night howling in laughter at my computer screen a while back.

Hedley Lamarr: “My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.”
Taggart: “God darnit, Mr. Lamarr, you use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore.”
(Didn’t someone say that about the Obamessiah after “The Speech”?)

Hedley Lamarr: “I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.”

Patterico:
Don’t be silly. Korman didn’t join the Carol Burnett Show until he was a 40 year old adult.

I appreciated his talent AND the patience who displayed with the tom foolery that others were pulling at him.
