Bill Clinton Takes on Pro-Life Students (Updated)

YouTube has video of Bill Clinton responding to pro-life student demonstrators in Ohio:

I think it hurts Hillary’s campaign when Bill Clinton becomes the story but it’s possible a strong pro-choice advocacy could help with some voters.

So does this help or hurt Hillary?

UPDATE 1: Apparently Fox News also wonders if Bill is helping or hurting.

UPDATE 2: Rand Simberg notes the irony of Democrats and former Clinton supporters who now see Bill as selfish and petty.

  1. I’m sick of hecklers. It’s wrong when conservative speakers are interrupted, and it’s wrong when liberal speakers are interrupted.

  2. I agree.

  3. I have yet to see Bill give a speech intended to support Hillary where he doesn’t reference himself. His talking points inevitably involve himself and only reinforce the dreaded ‘two-fer’ package if she gets in office.

I think it hurts her in the longrun.

  4. It hurts her. can u imagine maggie thatcher’s hubby comming to her aide in a political campaign? i cant. Bill just reminds dem primary voters of a dysfunctional marriage which they would just as soon forget. i cant say i blame them. the clinton machine, once invincible, is basically on its last leg.

  5. It doesn’t necessarily hurt her - I suspect much of Hillary’s appeal comes from those who see her Presidency as Bill’s third term. That’s hardly unprecedented … unless you really think it was Lurleen Wallace making Alabama’s decisions from 1966 to 1968.

  6. You know, I’m beginning to wonder how many hecklers are planted.

  7. Criminalize abortionists? You bet.

Criminalize women who believed the feminist lies that the baby they carried was not human and was not alive? Not a chance.

  8. I’m thinking the sign holders were plants. You can’t be too cynical when it comes to the Clintons.

  10. I’m tired of “passionate” hecklers the most.

I guess Bill’s role in Hillary’s administration is that he will be the muscle. He’ll show up late at night, dressed in a black leather jacket, at your door and will yell and shake his finger at you until you agree to vote for Unirvesal Health Care.

  13. The only reason Bill goes on these speaking rampages is because he’s a horndog, and Hillary won’t “give him some” unless he says what she wants.

    It’s pretty ironic, really.
