Yagman Gets Yet Another Reprieve

When we last checked in Stephen Yagman, he was supposed to surrender for his prison sentence on January 15. After the 15th, I wrote Patrick Range McDonald, who checked and told me that Yagman’s surrender date had been delayed until January 29.

McDonald has an update on Yagman’s case here. Turns out Yagman got yet another delay. It looks like he will have to surrender within a week or two, when a federal motions panel rules on his appeal of Judge Wilson’s denial of his motion for bail pending appeal.

You can’t stay out forever, Yagman. The day will come when you have to surrender and head off to the pokey.

I’ll be here to gloat about it.

  1. There is no basis for his appeal, there fore, there is no basis for continuing his date of surrender. What happened to the appearance of impartiality? It seems that leftwad attorneys get huge breaks that your average person doesn’t. Don’t expect any delays when they throw poor Wesley Snipes into the can.

  2. He might, actually, have serious health problems which will only get worse. He might expect to die in prison even with a three year sentence. Otherwise, one would think that he would want to get this over with as soon as possible, remove his legal disability, and go back to his life and his practice of law.

  3. go back to his practice of law? after several felony convictions involving moral turpitude? what are you smoking?

  4. He certainly has the ethics for such a job…

But wait… Yagman called one of pat’s former bosses a jew-hater, didn’t he?

That suggests at some level that Yagman might be jewish, and I think we all know Hugo’s opinion on jews…

  5. Marlboro box red. How many times do I have to say it?

And even in Illinois, no sissy when it comes to disciplining attorneys, permanent disbarment is a rare discipline. If the people he stole from are not deemed to have been his clients, he could be reinstated without restitution.

Who knows what the rules are in California. Has he been disbarred or even suspended yet?

  6. He should run for public office in New Jersey. Clean the place up.

  7. He’s only been suspended. And I certainly wouldn’t feel sorry for him because he is a certifiable a-hole in all aspects of his life.
