Dos Amigos: Vicente Fox & George W. Bush

In his upcoming book, former Mexican President Vicente Fox has words for George W. Bush:

“The two leaders shared a border for six years, but former Mexico President Vicente Fox gives a tough assessment on President Bush in a new book out next month, according to U.S. News and World Report. In “Revolution of Hope,” set to hit book stores October 4, Fox calls Bush “the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life,” and is sharply critical of the president’s Iraq policy and his immigration stance, according to the magazine.

Though he describes warm relations with Bush, Fox in the book also calls the president’s Spanish skills “grade-school” level and says, “I can’t honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House.”

With amigos like this …

  1. He must not of met Dick Cheney!

  2. Maybe Fox should use his advanced Spanish skills to build a goddamn economy in his country.

Mexico’s leaders are the eternal ruin of Mexico.

  3. Why is Vicente Fox sharply critcal of Bush’s immigration stance? Not friendly enough for him. Jeez.

  4. Possibly not wide enough.

  5. Just shows how little respect Fox has for the position HIS OWN office has….and how little respect for his own COUNTRY he has…

  6. How much did Fox leave office with. Usually Mexican presidents loot the treasury to the tune of 500-a billion dollars.

  7. Fox is sure cocky He should open his eyes to what is going on in his country. I think that Mexicans are a failed society.

  8. Pobrecito, former El Presidente! [note: when giving those remarks, Vincente Fox was seen wearing a shirt with this emblazoned on the front: “I was president and all he got was this lousy T-Shirt!”]

my polite response to Sr. Fox: “Shouldn’t you be in Mexico witnessing different uniformed police agencies getting in gun battles with each other?”

P.S. Our spanish is very fine at home, even though we really haven’t been part of Mexico for over 150 years (and even being provincials here in Alta Ca for 400 years). Please, former presidente, recall those borderline ( ha ha) illiterates whom you would have overwhelm my California. After all, their Spanish is , ahem, not even “grade school level.” (Makes Mexico look bad, after all.)

  10. What do you expect from oilmen? Of, course they are cocky. Doesn’t mean they are smart. And, I think George Bush has proven this to the world time and again.

  12. Well, it shows that the politicians will say things in their “tell some” books

that they won’t when they’re in office.

What did Byush threaten him with, or promise him while Fox was still in office?

Is anybody really surprised to hear that Bush is cock & arrogant?

Or that he couldn’t order at Taco Bell with his idiot grasp of Spanish? We knew this after an interview immediately after he got into office: that he knows barely a few words to get by with the help & that they were faking it to con the Latin cote in this country!
