Wish DRJ Well

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 2:59 pm

DRJ, who has been doing such a great job on the Border Patrol transcript summaries, will be incapacitated for a little while. She was in a car wreck last night — hit by drag racing teenagers while she was on her way to church — and has a broken collarbone. She can only type with one finger and can’t use the computer more than a few minutes a day.

Please wish her well in the comments.

  4. Sorry to hear that. I much appreciate the great work you do.

I’ve been recovering from a terrible injury for a year and a half now. I feel fortunate that I can still type, it keeps me occupied.

    Get well soon

  5. I hope you make a full recovery.

  6. Please get well soon. We just had a teenager die in town last week from street racing (Darwin award!), but unfortunately he also put an elderly woman in the hospital. Best wishes.

  10. DRJ,

I’m terribly sorry about your injury, and hope you’re soon back to ten-fingered typing and otherwise fine. Here’s hoping those kids get a lo-o-o-o-ng enforced break from driving . . .

  11. Get well soon, DRJ. We miss you already and look forward to your return.

  14. DRJ, please get well soon. I have so appreciated your immense work on the Border Patrol case. It really has been invaluable to the readers here. Best to you.

  15. DRL,

While I just can’t read the Boarder Patrol posts you do (I have a touch of the ADD, and they are LONG woman!!), I know there’s a lot of work involved. I’ll miss your posting, and I wish you a very speedy recovery…

And may the lil bastard’s trust fund buy you a nice new boat… 🙂 And may he enjoy being Celmate Bubba’s “special little friend”.

Again, best hopes and prayers for your speedy recovery…

  16. DRJ, listen to your fellow blog hooligans and get better soon.

P.T. for those nine other fingers: arguing won’t wait!

  17. I am not a hooligan!

    I prefer the term “ruffian”… 🙂

  19. good luck drj. drag racers are dangerous, happy it wasn’t worse, see if you can take away their driver’s licenses for a few years.

  20. Is she better yet? 🙂

  21. While I feel sorry for you, DRJ, I feel even more for the drag racers. An angry and injured lawyer will put the fear of God in anyone. Anyway, get better.

  22. DRJ,

I am so sorry to hear about your auto accident and your injuries. I hope you have the speediest of recoveries.

  23. Thank you for such nice comments. Like most of life, there were good and bad aspects to this wreck. It was dumb and avoidable and nearly killed us all, but the good news is it wasn’t my fault and everyone survived – thanks to God’s mercy and the engineers who designed my GMC Suburban. It may take awhile but I hope to fully recover.

  24. May you succeed in those and many other goals, and may you mend fully and soon!

  25. Whoa! I’m a schmuck for missing this!
I’ve really appreciated your work on the transcripts, DRJ! Hope you get better soon!

  26. Oh, my gosh! I’m so sorry she’s hurt – but so grateful it’s not worse!
