Searching “Jamil Hussein 61″ in my browser doesn’t turn up anything that indicates who was involved in the violence (Sunni on Shia, Sunni on Shia, or mixed). From reading blogs that found the 61 stories, my impression is that one needs a Lexis-Nexis account to do that search. Did you do that?

It’s on the Curt’s site. I’ll give a link to the post which has a link. You know, this is the most ridiculous thing about all this story: there’s nothing in those reports to suggest Al-Qaeda’s propaganda. Most of it is just minor violence.

every one of Jamail’s stories was about Shia on Sunni violence (that being the 61 that no other news agency confirmed) none were the other way around.

This is as crazy as it gets. Have you actually read these stories? (I seem not to be able to insert link, but just search “Jamil Hussein 61″.
There’s as about as much Sunni on Shia violence as Shia on Sunni reported there, probably even more Sunni on Shia. Given the fact that car bombings seem to be largely Sunni tactic, there’s much more Sunni violence reported there. It’s just mind-boggling how could anyone read those stories as Al-Qaeda anti-Shia propaganda.

All said, this tactic of getting a pass on anything, as long as you blame everything on AQ seem to work great for Shia bad guys. Al-Sadr just loves it.
