  1. [Inappropriate comment deleted by management. I don’t want anyone else in this thread to talk about her life being wasted. It’s wrong and it’s an insult, and it’s certainly tasteless in this context. — P]

  2. I understand the OC Register and Fox News are preparing profiles of Maj. McClung to run shortly. She had been escorting Fox News and Newsweek through Ramadi when her up-armored Humvee was struck. CNN carried her story and her picture today. She died doing great service to our country and I honor her sacrifice.

  4. […] The creator of the presentation was Captain Travis Patriquin, who died with Maj. McClung. (I linked Michael Fumento earlier but will link the same post again here. He has more on Captain Patriquin in his post, and you should read it.) […]

  5. The WA State Chapter of the Home of the Brave Quilt project wants to extend their most heartfelt sympathy to Maj. Megan McClung’s family and to make a memorial quilt for them. Could you please fwd this message to her father along with my email address and ask him to contact me when he is able? Finding families of the Fallen is often more difficult than making our Civil War reproduction quilts for them. Again, we are so sorry for their great loss.

  7. I just wanted to thank you for the support shown in the wake of losing Megan and thank you for deleting the inappropriate post before I saw it. I attended The Basic School(TBS) with Megan and we were in different platoons but I recall her always having a positive attitude which is sometimes difficult at best around TBS. My prayers are with her family.
