14. Sorry to go off topic, but I was surprised and very saddened this morning to read of the tragic and far too early death of ex-Deputy D.A. David Conn. I certainly did not know him well, just the occasional meeting while waiting in a courtroom or traveling in an elevator, but he was unfailingly pleasant and polite, dignified and self-effacing. Another of the notables who worked in our criminal court system, along with Johnny Cochran and Charles English, who passed too young and who will be missed by those on both sides of the courtroom.

    I realize you were being tongue-in-cheek with your response in # 12, but you actually misinterpret who “Allah” is, in this case.

    It’s not the Muslims’ god which Dwilkers was referring to in # 9, rather, “Allah” is actually the name of an influential conservative blogger.

    No big deal, just thought I’d let you know who he was referring to there.

16. I remember when Kirsten first waded into the arena, she was espousing the usual Dem boilerplate talking points and not fielding the challenges all that well.

    She has grown rapidly and now puts forth her own take on their agenda and is capable of defending it without getting that deer in the headlights look that so many do.

    So who needs nude? Her brain is the prettiest part. The best news of all? The more she thinks through the positions, the closer she’ll be to converting to a Rep (especially if she keeps hanging out with Michelle)!
