Krazy Kagu Outed: He Is Spurwing Plover

Those of you who read the comments have no doubt noticed an occasional commenter by the name of “krazy kagu.” krazy kagu has a rather unique way of expressing himself, as shown by the last six comments he has left on this blog, in reverse chronological order:
Hey GREENPEACE why dont they go to north korea and oppose this and what about HANOI JANE,JIMMY CARTER and all those idiots in their sandles go over there and declare a nucular weapons free zone if you liberal wussies have the gumption why dont you go over there and oppose this THE REASON IS THAT THEY WOULD PROBIBLY END UP BARRED FROM ENTERING and GREENPEACE would end up lying dead

Heh. It sure does, krazy kagu. It sure does.
So anyway, I was talking to See Dubya last night and he was shocked that I didn’t realize who krazy kagu is. Didn’t I realize that a kagu is a kind of bird?
So . . . you mean . . .
That’s right. krazy kagu is spurwing plover.
spurwing plover is a regular Ace of Spades commenter who comments in the style of krazy kagu. It is no coincidence that a plover is (like a kagu) a kind of bird. spurwing plover is the person whom Ace of Spades once described as a “mysterious, enigmatic commenter.” Banned at Wizbang, you can find an explanation of his writing style here. ace was so taken with spurwing plover that he wrote an entire Wikipedia entry about him. I think the entry was in existence for about 24 minutes before an alert Wikipedian zapped it, just like they do with any new entry.
The same individual has shown up at Xrlq’s site, TigerHawk, Retired Geezer’s blog, Murdoc Online, PoliPundit, The Nose on Your Face, Conservative Thinking, and The Conservative Mindcleaner — just to name a few. He has also appeared in various other incarnations at other blogs, always using a bird-related pseudonym. He is benny bird at WuzzaDem, and firebird at Cold Fury. Not only do these commenters share ornithological names and a . . . unique writing style, they all bear the same e-mail address.
spurwing plover has been mentioned on this blog as well — ironically enough, in a post about sock puppets titled Song of Myself: Lee Siegel, Michael Hiltzik, and Rick Ellensburg. In that post, a commenter named VekTor suggested that I implement a PHP code that supposedly puts a “fingerprint” on commenters’ posts, to prevent sock puppetry in the comments. Commenter Pixy Misa replied:
VekTor – and yet, we still don’t know who Spurwing Plover is.
Yes, we do, Pixy Misa. Yes, we do.

i had noticed krazy kagu, but i just assumed he was one of the random incoherent idiots you seem to attract. good luck getting rid of him now that you’ve given him headline space.

I’ve got to say, P, that bad spelling, grammar, punctuation, and taste are in no way “unique” to krazy kagu. There are plenty of people with the same…handicaps, it’s just that this one frequents your site. I can’t remember the last time he had something meaningful (or coherent) to say.
