Cathy Seipp Does Outside the Tent
Hey, it’s nice to see Cathy Seipp in the L.A. Times — and especially nice to see her doing one of those rare “Outside the Tent” columns.
Too bad they didn’t get someone to do one of those pieces on the paper’s disclosure of the Swift program.
There was a time that the Times appended the writer’s e-mail address to op-ed pieces. I had several interesting exchanges with those writers after reading their articles. That was 10 years ago. The practice stopped not too long after and has not resumed. They once were on top of the internet connection and then it all stopped. Maybe that was when the Tribune came along. At least they have allowed access on-line to the paper so former subscribers like me can see if there is any there there. The NY Times has shut itself up like a princess in a tower waiting for her knight.
