Video of Murdered Soldiers

It’s a very tough call whether you should view the graphic video of soldiers Kristian Menchaca and Thomas Tucker, killed by terrorist animals in Iraq. You may view it here. Allah initially made the decision to post the video at Hot Air, and I think he was right to do so. While there is a serious issue of respect for the families, this is news. Captain Ed says it well:

In the end, I decided to watch the video as well as see the photographs, because I believe that we need to see who our enemies are in this war. We have shaded our eyes after 9/11 and even before that, allowing network news executives attempt to induce a collective amnesia by refusing to show the heartbreaking aftermath of the attack: people jumping out of windows 100 stories up because they had to choose between burning or falling to death.

This is what terrorists do. They try to suck all of our will to resist them by creating horrible images for us, taunting us with their cruelty and sadism. While we blather about whether Gitmo detainees might be bummed out with their three hots and a cot, Islamofascists butcher people for the fun of it. They do so because they want us to believe that we cannot beat them — that they are so evil that we cannot hope to compete with them.

That’s why I chose to view the video on Rusty’s site. We need to show that this butchery does not frighten us but steels our resolve to put a permanent end to such evil.

If you don’t want to watch a video of a decapitated body, you shouldn’t. But whether you watch it or not, you should be aware that this is what the terrorists are doing to our soldiers.

P.S. That vile woman Frisch is mocking Tucker’s death at her site. I’m not linking her any more. She is trying to set herself up as the next Ward Churchill. She and Ward can burn in hell as far as I’m concerned, but I’m not giving her a link.

  2. The video is disgustingly horrible, as is that Frisch thing.

We have vile enemies both there and here.

  3. Sure the video and images should be available. But there is the question of taste, having blogs competing for popularity and hits displaying the images prominently on a page with huge rotating flashing ads and flash animation boxes asking you to buy crap. Geez people.

  4. Frisch reminds me of the Phelps group. Vile and profane. We should ignore them, but they are like some strange infected maggot filled deformed creature that we cannot believe we are looking at or even exists.

  7. I think her speech crossed over into criminality with Jeff’s kid. She may have avoided the consequences this time but I predict that she will tempt the law again, soon, and she will not be so lucky.

  8. And the day after the video is released, the administration decides to afford Geneva Convention protection to captive terrorists:

    That’s some timing.

  9. Yeah – that’s right. All you wingers watch your war porn, so you can maintain that enormous war-hardon.

Even a docile lamb like Lileks (who the hell likes his boring scribblings anyways?) watches his 9/11 video that he made on that day, just so he can keep the hatred burning.

Now don’t get upset – I’m not legitimizing the beheadings of the soldiers, nor the torture of them. Obviously they are the work of subhuman freaks.

But why would you want to watch it? So they can influence you (like a true terrorist would want)?

By the way – do you support torture? Because in the eyes of the world, we don’t appear to be much better than those beheading assholes. They tortured, then beheaded. We torture. Boy, it sure feels good to be that close to them so far down the moral scale.

SRA, you’re nuts, right? You are that greasy-haired, foul-smelling loser living in his mom’s basement that Rightwingsparkle described, aren’t you?

SRA, please give us a few details of the tortures we have inflicted.

  12. Torture? What torture?

Another thing: who the hell cares what the French, the Russians and the Chinese think of us? As Christopher Hitchens said last week, winning opinion polls in the lands of appeasement should be the last thing on our list of goals for 2006.

A country that attempted to be in everybody’s good books would be quite paralyzed. The last time everybody said they liked the United States (or said that they said they liked the United States) was just after Sept. 11, when the nation was panicked and traumatized and trying to count its dead. Well, no thanks. This is too high a price to be paid for being popular.

Beating the hell out of Islamofascism is however high on our list, and fellow travelers like you eventually will be happy it is (if only you give yourself the chance to feel happy, that is).

  13. In the eyes of the world we don’t appear that much better??

I can’t imagine why that would be. Maybe because of the news that paints that picture? Maybe because of lefties like yourself who put forward that notion so that Bush looks bad. Because nothing is more important than Bush looking bad. Nothing.

We are better sweetie, much much better. We don’t saw off heads. We don’t hang young girls for not being virgins. We don’t strap bombs to the mentally disabled and young people and blow up innocents on the promise of a brothel paradise.

    Get a clue.

  14. rsw you are correct. However the left, MSM, and terrorists are winning the information war (I do not mean this video, which will backfire, but the total information war.)

    davod (6c3f79)

  15. Yeah, rightwingsparkle, ’cause the rest of the world only watches our ‘liberal’ news (that is owned completely by conservative companies).

We rape young girls, then murder them and their families. We rape young boys in Abu Ghraib. We shove light sticks in men’s asses, and waterboard them. We attack them with guard dogs.

You know, the rest of the world DOES matter, you idiots. We need their help to fight this crap.

    Shorter Rightwing Arseholes (49460c)

  16. You cannot be serious. Even if all those things were true, they are the EXCEPTIONS. With the terrorists. It is a way of life. It is what they DO.

I suppose stories like this prove my point about the media.

    Rightwingsparkle (fd82ad)

  17. You know, the rest of the world DOES matter, you idiots. We need their help to fight this crap.

We should lead by example in fighting a war, as we are, and not by polling opinions. You idiot.

    MTF (335f9f)

  18. rsw:

    No, you misunderstand.

When they do it, it’s the exception. They’re from broken, impoverished homes (except when they’re not), they’re from occupied territories, etc., etc. Hence, the importance of the incantation that they are part of the “Religion of Peace.” The assumption is that the typical terrorist is forced into it (by us, of course).

By contrast, for SRA and the rest, a rapist, a Lyddie England is typical. For them, it’s the norm. Hence the importance of “Winter Soldier.” Because the claim was that, whereas enemy atrocities were the exception, US soldiers are all (or mostly) murderers and rapists.

This is, I believe, one reason for the over-the-top comparisons to the Waffen SS and the like. Because the US military must be portrayed as typically barbaric, as those formations were.

In short, the default for them is civilized behavior. Our default is barbaric.

  19. The terroist know how to hit us where we live. They horrify us by cowardly displays of masked men beheading innocents and combatants alike. They then use our own sensiblities of right and wrong against us jeering at us when we ‘stoop’ to their level.
We talk so much about the eyes of the world. What the hell were the eyes of the world watching in Tehran in 79? What were they watching in Munich? What were the eyes of the world watching as planes fell from the sky murderously almost FIVE YEARS AGO?!?!
I’ll tell you they watched, they smugly watched as the “America got what it deserved”, or so they thought. The rest of the world (With notibly few exceptions) doesn’t really care if we get our asses kicked. The only instance when the ‘rest of the world’ gives a rats ass is when THEY NEED HELP.
To that end I say there should be a daily display of a Muslim Cleric, torn from his hateful perch/mosque by a well trained, menstruating American woman who will toture him to within an inch of his life at which time a masked man using his left hand takes the worthless bastards life and hangs the head on a stick. The stick is then perched on the Pulpit of the Mosque where he was taken from and we move on day by horrible day until WE get THEIR attention.
Civilized? Not at all. But then again neither are our enemies.
We always do this same old stupid dance of trying to respond to Barbarism with Civil Discourse.
Insanity is doing the same old thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

Tell us, Shorter, if some individual members of the U.S. military had not done these reprehensible things, what would you use as your anti-war grinding ax instead?

You know, the rest of the world DOES matter, you idiots. We need their help to fight this crap.

We do? Are you sure? Because:

His support of torture and an illegal, immoral war makes me not like his ideas even more.

Because it sounds like you would not support the war no matter who helped us. So I ask again, are you sure other countries should be dragged down into the illegal, immoral muck of fighting “this crap” alongside the United States?

And what’s happening to the people who did (or are accused of doing) those things?

    Jim Treacher (c3be1b)

  22. And that Mr. Treacher, is the difference. We live by rules and they don’t. We punish evil acts and they relish them.

    Rightwingsparkle (fd82ad)

  23. The more evidence I see of the “religion of peace” I am reminded of the scene in “Lawrence of Arabia” where his Arab army attacks a Turkish unit while advancing to Damascus, and Lawrence cries out: NO PRISONERS! And, there were no Turkish prisoners.

If these are the rules of war that are going to govern, so be it.

    Another Drew (8018ee)

  24. You did not understand my point.

I was trying to say that all those horrible things that our soldiers have done are what everyone sees in the world.

They don’t see the new coat of paint on a school before it is bombed in an airstrike, or the good soldiers doing good things. I am not stupid – I know that the majority of soldiers in our armed forces are great, upstanding people. Unfortunately, we have allowed an unneeded situation to develop in which our soldiers did these unconscionable acts.

Why is it so hard to accept that our soldiers did the things I listed? And why do you always assume that your detractors see things only in black or white like you do?

    Jim Treacher (c3be1b)

  26. Oh damn, What the hell they have done. Such an barbaric act. i wish to kill all of them as they are not the right person to be called as humans. They are far mre worse than the butchers!

    Robby Thompson (264c82)

  27. I am no longer welcome here. Why?

What did I do, curse somewhere? I saw your post about the new policy – and I will adhere to it – no potty words, no attacks. Where am I being abusive here?

Am I not welcome here because you don’t like what I have to say? That’s pretty sad.
