that was good for a yukk. i get to the sentence “right now yale is a place that forbids the rotc from training on one hand, but at the same time welcomes an unrepentant high official of one of the vilest regimes in recent history…”
assistant devil's advocate (ae9a5b) — 7/6/2006 @ 12:02 ami immediately thought of a different high official than the one the writer intended, and the one i thought of actually graduated from there.
You know, my first reaction was that Yale shouldn’t be banning anyone from studying there, based upon his beliefs or political affiliations — until I read further and saw that they don’t allow ROTC on the Yale campus.

Daylight come and we wanna stay here…
I doubt that Mr. Belafonte would sing my version.

See Dubya (584c93) — 7/6/2006 @ 8:34 amOk, here’s one for the conspiracy theorists . . . Not that I want to give the SOB the benefit of any doubt, or anything like that . . . . but is there any chance that Taliban Man rendered some service to the US and allied forces that made it dangerous for him to stay in Afghanistan? I know — that sort of thing would probably lead one to be more discreet than Taliban Man has been, but it could explain why he’s here, and if we can believe that someone at State is a dim enough bulb to let a former Taliban into the US, it’s not beyond the realm of possibilities that the same guy thought that BTOC (Big Taliban on Campus) would be a low-profile relocation.
