Having been a veteran of juries at the LA County Courthouse, let me ask the obvious question–is Ruth Bader Ginsburg alone? I don’t think so. Most lawyers are boring in front of juries. I just can’t get excited over this, even if it was a conservative justice instead of the liberal Ginsberg. If anything, she’s demonstrating that she is human!

  2. I expect better of a Supreme Court justice.

  3. I questioned this in the earlier thread. Doesn’t it look cartoonish? Not as though it was done by a sketch artist drawing contemporaneously inside the courtroom but by someone who wanted to illustrate a narrative — in this case the story of the nap?

  4. So Mescalero, you are proposing that if Thomas, Scalia or Alito fell asleep, it would go unreported by the MSM. Dream on…

  6. I was under the impression that Thomas did in fact doze off occasionally; after all, for some reason he does not actually interact with the lawyers. I don’t really see this as news, I don’t like Ginsburg, but she’s hardly incompetent.

  7. As I’ve said previously, the Court has determined that a defendant’s atty can sleep through a certain portion of the trial without jeopardizing the ruling, so why not here?
