Nothing in this thread is saying anything bad about Justice O’Connor. Also, I have yet to see anyone writing on this blog say anything bad about her as a person, even as they criticize her jurisprudence.

Today marks THREE events. The Sandra Day O’Connor retirement is effective TODAY. Maybe to lawyers she quit in the summer like the press reports, but she has dealt with a dying spouse even since she announced she was leaving for that reason. She sat on the court and gave rulings given just these past weeks.

So what is it with conservative lawyers - do any of you guys even have family members in the terminal state for more than 3 days? How do you do that, anyway? Sandra Day O’Connor is a great American.
