"Yeah, well, he tried to explain that same concept to Democrats in this country after the last presidential election, and they didn’t take to the explanation any better than the Sunnis are likely to."

Boy that's a pretty silly thing to say.

I don't think that Dickie wants "liberals" elected. He's much too Progressive to vote for those co-opted tools of the corporate state.

Probably reads the "Daily Worker" as much as those rightist MSM rags.

Mr Jabot doesn't have to do the work: The Brad Blog is always posting something about how terrible our electoral system is. If you're interested in a laugh at just how pathetic some of the sore losers can be, that's the place to check.

Of course, since Mr Jabot made one quick posting here, and has not said a word about any of the brilliant responses he received, I wonder if he ever returned to view them at all.

Dickie, you've got your talking points down, man. Way cool. Since this is a long weekend, take some time and document the case. Don't forget the Diebold machines and the Ohio voter fraud. Actually, since those two are pretty well discredited, don't waste your time on those.

Check out the voter fraud that swept through Kansas and Montana. I've heard that over three million votes were wrongly counted for BusHitler that were really cast for Kerry. And then there were another 1.5 million miscounts in Nevada.

Check it out. File a FOIA request. Contact the DNC. Stay busy.

Can't believe no one recalled this quote of Harry Reid:

"We've become like the House of Commons. Whoever has the most votes wins. It hasn't worked that way in 216 years"

Is it my imagination, or has this site started to see more, and longer (not that I could ever complain about a lack of brevity) comments from liberals recently?

Mr Jabot writes:

The group with the most votes? How do you take yourself seriously, Patterico?

Your government has been hijacked, your electoral system has been hijacked, your media have been coopted, and you’re stuck in the 80’s like a campus Young Republican who, without anything of substance to say, accuses Democrats of whining when they see injustices being done.

You’re a simpleton.

Well, Mr Jabot, the President got more votes than his opponent in 2004; that kind of sounds to me like winning. Republican congressional candidates got more votes than Democratic congressional candidates in 2004; that also sounds like majority vote winning.

Which media have been hijacked, Mr Jabot? The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Los Angeles Times, ABC, CBS and CNN all seem to support the liberal causes and candidates; if the GOP has hijacked them, they're doing a splendid job in escaping!

I'll settle for having Bush explain this concept to Senate Republicans, who seem to be acting as if they're a minority even though they hold 55/100 seats.
