Harriet Miers Isn’t the Only One Who Can’t Proofread

From the New York Times:

Mr. Cornyn, a friend of Ms. Miers from Texas, called her highly qualified and predicted that neither the president nor Ms. Miers would withdrawal the nomination.

Maybe that’s what it sounded like Cornyn said, what with that southern withdrawl of his.

  1. Was he talking about troops from Iraq?

    Or ….

    a ineffectual birth control method?

  2. Apparently the media no longer lies or misrepresents people on the right. At least it seems that way from your unquestioning acceptance of anything printed about Miers.

[You didn’t read my preemptive P.S., did you? Or you did and decided to ignore it and give me the kind of contentless snark I said I find worthless. I try not to unquestioningly accept *anything*. Do you have a specific reason to believe these folks were misquoted? I don’t. But if you think they were, e-mail the interviewees to check and see. That’s what I’d do. — Patterico]
