The more important note regarding Paul Winchell's death is something I was always facinated with when I saw his act on TV.  Winchell was instrumental in the development of an artificial heart ... he had a patent on some aspect of a particular design (and held a number of various patents)... and I read this weekend that his design may have been a large part of the Jarvick VII artificial heart.</description>
