Reid Calls Bush “Loser”

Harry Reid has called President Bush a “loser.”

When asked for specifics, Reid cited Bush’s dissent in the Hillside Dairy case.

  1. Congrats on the Day by Day cartoon mention this evening.

  2. I think the “Hillside Dairy” link is broken.

  3. Yes, links are both broken.

  4. I’ve seen several reports indicating Reid has called Karl Rove to apologize for the “loser” comment. Typical—attack publicly, apologize privately. Someone who was not a “loser” himself would offer a retraction on the same public scale as the attack. Reid again self-defines…

  5. I don’t remember Adam Clymer getting an apology from Bush for being called a major-league a****** (with a second by Dick Cheney). Did Leahy get an apology from “Big Time” Cheney for the obscenity directed at him on the Senate floor?

Reid at least apologized promptly for his mildly intemperate remark. So who’s the loser (or, following Patterico’s equally judicious language, moron) now?

  6. M. Croche, missing the point since 2003.

  7. Links both fixed. That’s what I get for blogging from a Treo when I’m tired.

Croche is remarkably consistent in his point-missing.

m.croche, the problem here is that the prez is out of the country. Talking smack about the prez while he’s not at home… That, my friend, is a big no-no no matter what party you belong to.
