		<description>I sometimes wonder whether articles like this LA Times series aren't more a result of a formalistic reporting recipe followed without much thought than a conscious effort at spin. The punditry aspect is always supposed to mix implications with factual observations, and given the editorial mindset at the LA Times you know the twist is always going to be anti-Bush or anti-CIA. Wasn't the LA Times the paper that blamed the crack epidemic on the CIA? 

That's why I like some of Iowahawk's satire pieces so much - he satirizes the "recipe" as much as the message. Still, this is an interesting progression of articles, and I applaud you for putting this together. No matter what the mechanism, the results are unadmirable and unenlightening.
