Patterico Observation Makes “Special Report with Brit Hume”

Filed under: Blogging Matters — Patterico @ 9:53 am

Cori Dauber e-mails to tell me that my observation of the L.A. Times’s disparate treatment of polling data in Arizona and California made “The Grapevine” on “Special Report with Brit Hume” last night. Cool.

Thanks again to James Taranto for highlighting my post; I have no doubt that it was the “Best of the Web” mention that got the attention of the folks at “Special Report.”

    PRESS RELEASE

New 527 political organization based in Wisconsin to raise funds for 2004 election issue advertisements

“Americans for Life” has been organized to educate citizens on partial-birth abortion issue.
October 1, 2004, - - “Americans for Life”, a Wisconsin based 527 political organization, announced today that it has been formed to raise funds and develop issue advertisements in the coming weeks to send clear and honest messages to voters in Wisconsin and the Nation regarding candidates’ positions on partial-birth abortion.

“Americans for Life” was organized by Milwaukee area business executive, Norman J. Yerke, in response to the lack of understanding and misconceptions regarding partial-birth procedures as well as to expose positions of candidates on the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act signed by President Bush in 2003.

“Americans for Life” is distributing a video clip describing partial-birth abortion and the support that Senator Russ Feingold and Senator John Kerry have given to this procedure. “Americans for Life” intends to run TV and Radio ads informing the public in Wisconsin of Kerry and Feingold’s position and votes.

Yerke is actively raising funds from individuals to support the cost of advertising of planned ads. The website, http://www.americansforlife.com, (our website may not be “live” until tomorrow 10/01/04), is now able to accept payments. The organization is conducting direct mail and broadcast email campaigns to raise additional funds to be used to purchase advertising space on local outlets in the battleground State of Wisconsin.

“There is a lot planned for the next month” Yerke says. “We are planning to let the public know the records of candidates Kerry and Feingold.

“We want to make sure that the grotesque nature of partial-birth procedures, and these candidates’ votes in support of allowing it to continue,+ is made known to the public” says Yerke.. “This is not a Catholic or Protestant or Jewish or Islamic issue….this procedure kills African Americans, European Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Arab Americans…all Americans…..babies….and it must be stopped,” Yerke stated.

Check http://www.americansforlife.com, or email nyerke@execpc.com for more information.
