Extra! Extra! Freeper Is Conservative! Read All About It!
The L.A. Times has revealed the stunning news that Buckhead, the FreeRepublic.com commenter who first identified the font problems with the CBS documents, is — steel yourself for the shock — a conservative. Not only that, he’s a “conservative activist.” The incredible details are here.
UPDATE: Antimedia says I missed a chance to fisk the story. Luckily, Antimedia, I know that you’ve got my back.

BuckHead and Bulver
Bulverism, thy name is L.A. Times…the shocking truth is revealed … BuckHead, is… gasp, a conservative! (see also: Patterico, INDC Journal) “Bulver…the great truth that refutation is no necessary part of argument…”

Predictable LA Times
They out “Buckhead:” But it did not come from an expert in typography or typewriter history as some first thought. Instead, it was the work of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes who…

Patterico misses a fisking
Patterico wrote a brief comment about an LA Times story that reveals the identity of Buckhead, the freeper who “broke” the story of the forged documents that CBS used to defame Bush.
I think Patterico missed a golden opportunity for a fisking. May…

My Gosh, I thought we had all of them in wards. How did he get out?

Keith Olberman, who presumably reads the LA Times, spent an entire story segment on Buckhead and his evvvvvvvvvvviiiiiilllllllllllll Republican ways.
Keith managed to not once mention forged documents, an Army Guardsman with a grudge, that Guardsman pro-Democrat/anti-Bush ways, the lawyer for the Army Guardsman with a grudge, or Dan Rather’s fund-raising for democrats co-located with both the Guardsman and his lawyer.

The Times identifies him as a “blogger.” After a week of non-stop coverage of how bloggers were responsible for blowing the lid off the CBS scandal, you would think that a major paper would know the difference between a blogger and someone who posts comments to a web site. Lame!!!

It’s like discovering that a member of Greenpeace is a liberal activist. A real shocker, all right.

I’m rather enjoying watching the liberal media’s head implode at having been definitively exposed, once and for all.
The fact that a tool like Keith Olberman could run an entire segment on something so obvious and unnewsworthy only demonstrates the degree to which they believe they can make the news, not just report the facts. They think that they’re can change people’s minds by changing the topic, but all they really do is convince the average viewer that their coverage is unfair and one-sided.
And the American public has a strong tradition of punishing unfairness. These guys are causing a stampede toward Bush, who I predict will take 46 states.

Keith Olberman gained fame through a hilarious series of Sports Center programs on ESPN which he co-hosted with Dan Patrick. Each day, on his MSNBC program, Olberman further demonstrates that Dan Patrick has a low-key, insightful comedic genius that can carry any dolt appearing with him to at least a low level of celebrity.

Deceive, Inveigle and Obfuscate
In two articles in today’s LA Times, the idea is floated that CBS was entrapped by the crafty-but-stupid Bush administration. On the front page is a story about how “In the Rush for a Scoop, CBS Found Trouble Fast”.It was…

C BS. C BS Run. Run, C BS, Run (Part 7)
Fake and inaccurate: Col. Walter Staudt has come forward. He says he never asked anyone to sugarcoat Bush’s service, and didn’t see anyone pulling strings to get Bush into the guard. During his time in charge of the unit, Staudt decided whether to acce…
