Campaign Finance Reform Used as Blunt Anti-Speech Club

Filed under: Civil Liberties — Patterico @ 11:43 pm

Read here about the Democrats — in an apparent panic — using the unconstitutional campaign finance reform law to suppress the free speech of the Swift Boat Vets.

I didn’t like it when Republicans tried to do it to Michael Moore, and I don’t like it now.

(Though, with Michael Moore, we always had the element of irony — given that the Democrats supported the campaign finance reform law).

This is just pure irony-free thuggery.

Status of Iraq
