The Turkeys at the New York Times
Once again, a major newspaper issues a correction of a mistake that never would have been made if someone had been reading internet blogs. The New York Times corrections page today states:
An article last Sunday about surprises in politics referred incorrectly to the turkey carried by President Bush during his unannounced visit to American troops in Baghdad over Thanksgiving. It was real, not fake.
Tim Blair has been flogging the bogus dead turkey story for months, and has a collection of links of people who have been taken in by the canard.
