I have a tendency to scan rather than read things in-depth, so I initially totally missed the paragraph you pointed out where they snuck the truthful sentence into the article. This is a real side-splitter: "The administration prefers to not define the reduction in education spending as a 'cut' because schools would get at least as much as they got this year." That dumb administration! What are they doing? Trying to rewrite the dictionary?! “…schools would get [an increase of] $1.5 billion or less.”
