Dear Mr. Patterico:

I am doing some research into the liberal media. You see, I am a liberal and I keep looking for the liberal media and only find conservatives. So I am following all the leads of conservatives whining (sorry, I meant complaining) about the liberals controlling the media. So I am making it a point to investigate all the leads. You quoted a newsday article about a Georgia man who killed himself at Ground Zero over George W. Bush's reelection. You said "The story and everybody quoted therein miss the point: there was obcviously something wrong with this man that went deeper than politics. I guess it makes a good news story to say that he killed himself over Bush's election, but there's obviously much about the man's mental state that we're not being told.

You provided a link to that Newsday report so I read the article. Only one line in the article speculated as to the man's motivations and it said, "A source said Veal may have been suffering from some personal problems, though his family has told authorities that he was very upset about the war in Iraq and President George W. Bush's re-election."

If this is an example of liberal bias to get a quote from the family and summarizing that quote then I guess I'm missing the point. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to where the liberalism is here.

Thank you for reading this post. Hope you can straiten me out.

I am pleased that you are investigating all the leads. While you're at it, why not investigate <a href="http://thatliberalmedia.com" rel="nofollow">this</a>, and <a href="http://patterico.com/archives/cat_dog_trainer.php" rel="nofollow">this</a>. That's a few hundred leads for you.

I saw your comments on Rick Healeay. I'm married to his first cousin. Rick did not want a memorial service, but his family is planning to meet to celebrate his life. I wanted to know if you & any of his friends would like to contribute any stories about Rick or some of his "quips"? I wanted to present them to his daughter. If you have a private email, I can give you additional information if you would like to contribute.

Thank you.
